Scorpion had literally under 10 minutes of screen time in Spider Man Homecoming. Why include a villain we haven't even seen in action? Overall though, Vulture is bad ass, Ultron is bad ass, Thanos is perfect.

Anyone can debate the minutia of the order but I prefer to focus on the impressive amount of specific details & facts mixed with the subtle (& some not so much) humor to explain your rankings. It's similar to the balance that makes the MCU movies so entertaining. Well done Looper.

People, this list is based on the quality of the antagonists, their purpose, their symbolization, their background, not their power or how villainous they are. That's why Killmonger or Vulture are so high up on the list. Vulture has a personal relationship with Peter Parker and originally didn't have a villainous purpose. He just wanted to make money for his family. Killmonger has the traditional backstory of a hero, not a villain. His actor is great, but he's such a great villain because he just wanted revenge, and he was so similar to T'challa. He's also a great representation of African-America vs truly Africa, racism, and world injustice like tyranny. But even though he had a hero facet of him, he seemed to actually enjoy killing, and this, here's what makes a great villain: Great villains are the hero of their own story. They're not the villain just because they feel like being an asshole. That's why Malekith sucks. They have an ulterior motive that's actually interesting, and sometimes representative of real life conflicts. But even though they are "nice" like Killmonger, they have evil deep inside. People might assume Thanos was high on the list because of how powerful he is, but he is a great villain because of what I described earlier. He was the hero of his own story. And he "saved the universe" in the fashion he believed. Now he believed he did this for the good, but he's evil in the way that there were much better ways to "save the universe," and he didn't even consider them. He's also evil because of his will to umrightfully sacrifice, and that's also another reason why he's a great villain; he represents sacrifice. Sacrifice was the overarching them of Avengers: Infinity War, and Thanos embodied that perfectly. So who else is hyped for Avengers 4?

These rankings make little sense. They're all over the place. It's more like who do you like the most.

Loki is by far the only MCU villan to appear in more than one movie with a main character ish/ main villan role in more than one. Also, Ego was a wasted oporitunity

Zemo should be in the top 4. That guy destroyed the Avengers, which Loki, Ultron couldn't even do.

I think you did a good job there was a couple things that did not make sense to me but you were brave to make this list because there are so many different people who think different things keep up the work

I don't consider thunderbolt Ross as a villain. More of a guy that just doesn't know when to stop. Also I can't honestly agree with you putting the vulture above ego. Kind of an odd decision there. 🤔

I agree that Justin Hammer is a joke, but Sam Rockwell absolutely nails the role to the point where I kinda want to see him in another movie. Rockwell and Downey have such a great, adversarial relationship. Really though calling Hammertech a rival to Stark industries is pretty generous. The only reason anyone buys his stuff is because Tony shut down Stark Industry's weapon manufacturing division. Also, all the good guns he puts on the War Machine suit are made by real life companies. The only original Hammertech is that missile launcher that doesn't work. Quick note: Why was General Ross Sec of State instead of Sec of Defense?

I understand that I have a bias because Tom Hiddleston is so damn good, but Loki is easily number one on my list. While special effects, CGI, and capture motion are necessary in every fantastical film, there really is nothing quite like the real thing. When we have the pleasure of seeing an actor buying into that role, and becoming a fully fleshed out three-dimensional villain, it's adds dimensions that are simply impossible regardless of technology. I respect that I'll be in a minority here. I appreciate great villains like Darth Vader and Thanos, but I just can't help myself...I'll take Hans Gruber and Loki...and their great individual performances on the screen...every day of the week.

I love that some of the actors they get are incredibly huge ones that bring their all to the roles. Jeff Bridges, Kurt Russell, Michael Keaton, Michael B. Jordan and of course Josh Brolin bring so much more to their roles by just being them, making you see past any special effects in the films they're in, because they are such great actors in their roles. While some villains may be lack luster, the great ones truly are great.

Great video! However, I feel like the Black Order should’ve been separated into individual characters. Ebony Maw in my opinion is pretty far up the list by himself. The other ones aren’t too powerful. I feel like they dragged him down to a lower ranking.

Dr. Strange continues to be clever. His fight against Dormammu and Thanos have saved and will end up saving the universe. Also, Ego killed million of his offspring, not hundreds.

5:09 hammer said earlier in the movie that for the missile aka "the ex-wife" to be activated war machine had to be going super sonic also if it were to work it would kill tony and rhoades so its a good thing it didnt work. Also he said that all the weapons dont work which is clearly not true as war machine took out quite alot of drones

How about red skull he was very important to the first avenger and he was in control of the soul stone. In chronological order red skull technically is the very first villain.
