So if Luigi's Mansion 2 can be put on the Switch why not Samus Returns Nintendo? Hmm. Metroid Prime 4 has to be in the direct. It will most likely be the final Switch direct and if it isn't there the promise of it would be broken.
Not the biggest SR suit fan ever BUT BUT BUT fusion varia in SR is the biggest suit upgrade ive ever seen, I REALLY wish that was what it was in fusion oml
I'm sorry, but I REALLY love these suit designs. Especially the fusion suit redesigns, as the varia suit was a pale green-yellow. And I loved both gravity suits (since the fusion variant stays true to the original, which I kinda like). The only drawback I'd have to say about the normal varia suit is the excessive shoulder pads. But that's just my opinion. 😊
Hello! Great work in the video, it was a cool look into all of these games' suits; I particularly love the gravity suit and its not-recolor-ness, after many years of "varia, but blue!". I wanted to ask you where you got the different "renders" or pictures of the suits posing in fullbody; I've been working on a project showcasing every suit from every metroid game, cathegorized by type, but I ran into a bit of a roadblock when it came to this game's suits, as other than the varia suit there weren't any official renders around. It would be a huge help to know if you could share them somehow, or knew how to make some myself! Thank you in advance!
Ok so let me give a defense of the high heels. First of all, practicality. But not much to say here. Arguably the suit would not have any features that sacrifice utility for design, but neither are the heels so high that they are impractical, nor is it a stretch to imagine that they could serve a function like containing springs for reducing impacts from high jumps or giving a boost for jumping in turn. Perfectly reasonable. Next, fashion. High heels, while nowadays a typically feminine shoewear, went through an evolution of being used by horse riders and thus the rich and powerful, followed by being adopted by the nobility, followed by then being taken up by women in a move of emancipation. Samus is all of these things. She is powerful, rich, noble in the truest sense of the word and, importantly, an emancipated woman. Let’s talk about that part. Yes, despite all that, high heels give of a feminine air by our modern association. But why shouldn’t Samus wear such shoes? She is not and has never tried hiding who she is, people had just deemed her male by assumption. Why is it a bad thing for her to have shoewear that to uses gives a feminine air? Being a woman does not make her weaker, does not make her frail, and it gives off a feeling of confidence as she is not trying to appear male. This boosted to the max with her gravity suit boots, which are these chonky wedge heels that give her even more height (she‘d 190cm even without) and more intimidation factor while being badass and feminine. There’s a current trend of attempting to create "strong female characters" by having a woman that acts like a man (even taking on stereotypically male features in appearance) and takes every opportunity to talk down on men. I hate it. And Samus isn’t that, at all, which the high heels and her hair show. She is a GOOD strong female character, and the heels imo only accentuate that.
@@IIARROWS You may notice that in horse riding the rider does not wear high heels with jump propulsion or impact reduction. Though it would be badass. As would be a horse with rocket powered horseshoes. I did mention the origins of high heels in horse riding, but that was in regards to their history and fashion aspect and only after I had already stopped talking about their practicality for Samus herself. The use case is completely different and I never suggested otherwise. That's like me saying "Samus' arm cannon is her weapon of choice. In other news, handheld projectile weapons like it originated with the crossbow," and you responding "You can't kill a space dragon with a crossbow." Really now.
I never even noticed the heels before lol, but they aren't too bad here at least. SR Varia Suit may be my favorite Power Suit from the franchise. Not really a big fan of the way the Gravity Suit changes up the highlights, though it's hard to say why I don't like it. As for the Fusion suits, you and I have opposite opinions lol. The organic texture looks like a cheap mummy wrap texture recolored and slapped over a bulkier suit and I don't like it at all. Green, particularly a dark leafy green, is my favorite color, but I ***hate*** the Fusion Varia Suit colors. On the other hand, I feel the Fusion Gravity Suit is the best looking of the three with the blues and purples blending beautifully and hiding some of that texture I dislike. To each their own!
I never even noticed the SR heels 😅 so they never bothered me, and I’m actually a fan of the SR Fusion Gravity suit, I think the blue & purple compliment each other nicely and I don’t mind that the lights bland in with the blue of the suit, I agree with a lot of what was in the video tho 👍 I live deep dives into stuff like this
Honestly I really like the Fusion Gravity suit. The only part of her that's kind of overwhelming to look at is the blue visor but besides that I love the tone of the blue on the rest of the suit and I already love purple in general. The 2 colors also aren't bad together in my opinion.
