As a Reds Fan, although I think Elly will too, my pick to break out is Christian Encarnacion-Strand. Last year he hit 13 homers in 63 games. Dude has serious power and I think he’ll hit 30 homers in a full season (there are a lot of guys that I think will break out for the Reds this year)

Davis Scneider had maybe the best start to a career in MLB history. He's still rookie eligible so he'd be my pick for the Blue Jays

Austin Wells is also cool. He might steal some playing time from Trevino. I also think Justin Martinez could be the next breakout reliever for no reason other than he throws really hard.

I’ve seen absolutely NO ONE talk about this guy and I was a little surprised he wasn’t chosen because of the White Sox being so bad but Dom Fletcher could be really nice for the south side. He profiles as a Steven Kwan/Andrew Benintendi leadoff hitter and has posted a .300 AVG and .350 OBP at every level so far. I think he’ll be sneaky good for that team and was a nice pickup.

I think for Red Sox it will be Casas, I expect him to have a big year. Rafaela, too. But hope for good things from Bello as well, we need the pitching for sure.

Gabi Moreno has big breakout potential for the Dbacks too. 7th in average pop time to 2nd base, won the gold glove last year so its not like his defense was underrated. But, his power showing up in the playoffs was a real surprise, and if he can extend that to next season he could be one of, if not the best, catcher in terms of combining both his offensive and defensive contributions.

I’m a Phillies fan and I agree that Christopher Sanchez is going to have a breakout season but my breakout player would be Bryson Stott and if he gets some innings you could also argue Andrew Painter. For the Rangers I would have Jung or Evan Carter. For the Brewers I would argue Jackson Chourio.For D-backs I would have pffadt or Moreno and for the A’s I would have Brent rooker

Since you already said Kellenic for the Braves, I will also throw Sean Murphy into the ring as well. He had a good start to the 2023 season but then cooled off in the second half. I think he finds a way to remain consistent all season in 2024.

Greetings from Birdland. Greyson as a "breakout" is pretty much already assumed over here. If he pitches this year like he did the second half of last season, he's gonna get Cy votes. He's vital to our cause, particularly with Bradish down. The real breakout, the one casuals may not know the name of yet - Coby Mayo. Its Austin Riley 2.0 and its as soon as now for Baltimore.

So crazy how the hype for Jordan Walker (at least outside of fantasy baseball discourse) has mostly died off. For a 20 year old his rookie season is extremely impressive and honestly should’ve improved his hype. Pains me to say as a pirates fan but Walker is due for an insane breakout in the next two seasons

Everyone loves to talk about Woo and Bryce Miller, and for good reason, but if the Mariners are going to take the next step this year, it'll be because they added another outfielder who can mash a bit. Canzone put on some serious muscle over the offseason, and he already had really good contact rates last year. Between him, Luke Raley, and Mitch Haniger, that's gotta be better than the worst version of Teoscar Hernandez and Jarred Kelenic, right?
