The Megami Tensei series introduced me to so much mythology, folklore & religious figures from a verity of cultures. So when I see the same kinda thing in other games it gains instant bonus points from me.
This game has been so much fun and I'm still not done playing it. I haven't found a single design i didn't like in some way shape or form. And seeing all of them now just motivates me. They're all wonderful
I wish I could say the same, but honestly I am the opposite. I couldn't find even one design that I liked, and a few of the ones I ALMOST liked always have something off. Honestly, the lack of expression and personality in these designs really sinks them for me.
@@egohealth ...Uhh, are you looking at sprites from another video? Because it aint this one. Let's use the shark in the thumbnail as an example. Instead of giving him expressionate eyes, they gave him soulless buttons for eyes, destroying any sense of emotion, and it honestly ruins the design.
These monster designs are something else and I love them, I do hope to see a future dlc that adds more monsters and maybe a new area heh, but that's probably asking for too much
2:11, i think this is kamen rider reference its obvious from it name tokusect (tokusatsu insect) why its kamen rider because it head look like rider helmet and then the waist have thing like rider belt, and also kamen rider is modified human with grasshopper an insect, so i thing its a cool reference!.

To each their own. Interested in the game from your channel but unfortunately i couldn't find any monsters that appeal to me except one or two out of the whole roster. Though i will give the creativity props. Not many monsters you can make that are trash cans or traffic cones. Seems a bit too sci fi or earth bound. Lots of humanoids with only like a snake or bird here or there. I like actual animal monsters. Thanks for sharing this! I always enjoy your channel previews!
Hmmmmm. Pretty much the whole roster just looks like, "kid in a bad halloween costume." Where are the cute designs? We get one, maybe two and that's it? Can't say this is going to fill the whole that Pokemon left whatsoever...
Gonna be honest: not a huge fan. There aren't any good tank or chonk designs, and there’s so many expressionless mons, and even the few that do aren't very charming. I wish I could say that there was one in particular that spoke to me, but... no. I couldn't find even one standout design that I really liked.
Same. It's not really a type you get to play around with. And on top of that, only 3 monsters can equip glass camouflage. So it's hard to have a pseudo glass type as well
I love everything! The designs, the puns, the fact that they have an Ouroboros-inspired monster! Takes me back to the days of playing The Ruins of Lore (despite its bugs) and sticking to White Snake (I believe) just for its sick animation when using a move.
Not far into the game yet, but strange the starters weren't the first ones in the dex. Love these designs though, definitely set apart from Digimon and pokemon way more than most games do.
I like when monster catching games do something different from stuff like Pokémon so that people don’t constantly compare them, I’ve really liked this game so far
Honestly, it’s one of the worst rosters for me. Most of the designs are expressionless and lacking of personality, and I couldn’t even find one good tank/chonk design, and those tend to be my favorites. Even Yokai Watch had a couple monsters I soooorta liked, but I couldn't find one here.
@@eminjoana43334 But it's not "Chonky." Also, I consider being able to emote and show a variety of emotions to be expression. Beastieball's monsters have honestly been a good example, so far.
So is there an easy way to know if you've hit the max evolution for a beast? Obviously we can look here or try to find the space for them in the bestiary, but is there an obvious sign when you're looking at the creature?
Final evos get 8 sticker slots and max out their stamina bar (I believe it's 8 bars, like a fusion). However, Scubalrus fir whatever reason only gets 6 sticker slots... Maybe it's a bug on my end
7:40 That looks a lot like the Liver (lie-ver) Bird from my home city of Liverpool here in England. That's so bloody cool. Well I'm going to need to have that guy on my team.
The devs are both from Northwest England so it's entirely likely it's inspired by it :) Also as someone who's played the game that bird is an absolute badass.

The 5 and 2 refer to the maximum cable length of the entire network in 100s of metres. However in 1990 a system for carrying Ethernet over twisted pair cables was introduced, which was called 10BASET. It used the CAT3 twisted pair cables that were already in use for office telephone exchanges. Since then the cables have been updated to CAT5 (supporting 100BASETX), CAT5e (supporting 1000BASET) and CAT6 (supporting 10GBASET). Based on this, I expected Cat-5's tail to look like a CAT5 cable.
I'm not really a fan of most of these designs. A very large portion of them are humanoid and their proportions are very human-like, with thin simple limbs and very busy and cluttered designs both in regards to the design elements and colours. Look at how cute and expressive jumpkin is compared to its evolutions. On the flipside you have some designs that are so simple, especially in regards to limbs and extremities that they end up lacking character and personality. Its a shame because SOME of the designs are really cool and the typing concept is neat, but the designs are mostly mediocre.
Unpopular opinion: I don't like the designs. Some of them look too "on the nose" and kinda cringey xD otherwise i'd play... but I guess Ill continue to wait.
