This may have been the best chance for the both of them. They both aren't getting any younger and with how tough the Atlantic divsion is and how tough the Eastern conference is in general. Weber and Price may have missed their best chance.
I agree. As a MTL fan, I’m sad we couldn’t win and bring stanley home, because in all honesty this year was probably the best chance to win the cup for Price (since let’s be honest he deserves to win a cup). However we did something great; we proved to all the doubters that we can do it. We’re not just some team who got lucky, our team is solid and we have a great goalie in Carey Price. We were able to make it back to the finals in 28 years and proved that we can do the impossible. So I see this as a win in my books. They did they’re very best, and that’s all really anybody can ask. I know will do great next season, and maybe if the hockey gods allow it, we make it back to the playoffs for another shot at the cup. You did good habs...you did good.
Hell of a postseason. Nothing more to say. Y’all broke Toronto, proved that karma exists, and exposed vegas as fraudulent. As a Dallas fan I know exactly how you feel right now and it’s gonna hurt for a few weeks but eventually you’ll be able to look back on this with pride

MTL has proven to have a solid and hard working team with this great run. Don’t hang your heads habs fan you guy have a solid team that kept up with a great team. No doubt in my mind that MTL does great next season.

They managed to win against the maple leafs. They managed to win during Saint-Patrick days. They managed to go to the FINAL. They managed to united the Montrealers. They managed to prove to everyone that the Montréal Canadian is a great and awesome team. Because of them, I become their fan and I start to learn more about hockey. I am so proud of them and I know that LA COUPE SERA LA NOTRE L’ANNÉE PROCHAINE. Go Habs Go🇨🇦
This whole Stanley cup playoffs there was never a late game tying goal with the net empty there was late kinda tying goals like Anderson in the CF against fluery but not where the net was pulled and it tied the game up
What the heck man, what a ride to get there and now... Its better to say who we still have instead of who we lost. Ill always come back to this video as I take breaks from studying. Brings me to tears to see Lehky send us to the finals with everyone jumping up and down, you missed the best part with Bergy going wild up in the box. This will have to comfort me as the dark days of the Rebuild are upon us. GHG
The weird thing I find about this run is that if they beat Toronto but loose to Winnipeg, it’s a successful year since no one expected them to beat Toronto. If they beat Winnipeg but loose to Vegas, it’s considered a very successful year since no one expected them to win the North. But since they beat Vegas and lost to Tampa this years considered a complete failure. Sports are weird.
Price playing with a bad knee Weber with a bad wrist shoulder n foot Toffolli Stall Evans got hurt and he was playing lights out, this team healthy in the finals would Of been different. I think these guys playing with injuries put a toll on Them in the final. What a run

I'm looking at this right now and I have shivers, it was a hell of a ride, unfortunately, we've lost to much players and the team isn't the same anymore, glad to have MSL here and the reconstruction is beginning P.s: hope this comment will age well
Looking back at it a little bit further forward in time, this was probably Montreal's best shot at the cup. Now this may be hard to hear Habs fan but this run and your upset of the Pens in the 2020 bubble were pretty much due to the good fortune of the playoffs being expanded in 2020 and the odd structuring of the 2021 postseason because they would not have made the dance in a normal year. The Canadiens do deserve credit for making the most of their chances in both those runs but now the offseason talent drain they suffered means that they probably won't be back for a while. I mean, look at some of the names they lost. Weber: basically retired. Staal: pretty sure that he doesn't even have a job right now. Perry: decided that if he couldn't beat Tampa in the Finals, he'd join em. Danault: signed with the Kings. Tatar: signed with New Jersey. Kotkaniemi: offer sheeted by the Canes in a revenge move. And these losses have really showed early this season. Not to mention Price dealing with a mental health thing and Edmundson being injured as well as Caufield struggling so bad that he got demoted to the AHL. Basically y'all might be screwed for a while. But hey, at least you made it there. More than I can say for my team.
I still think Montreal would’ve won the cup during this run. Sucks they had to play Tampa in the finals. Just such a tough matchup tbh. I mean yes they beat the leafs and jets and Vegas but Tampa was stacked
If you only had PK Subban 😋 I’m happy Toronto didn’t knock them out... what a disappointment that team turned out to be. King of the North, king of the North (sarcasm got)
Disappointment? Everyone expected Toronto to sweep them did they not? Same with Vegas, yet the habs beat both of them. They were the opposite of disappointing.
@@politicalbandwagon4989 dude I’m making fun of Toronto… I called last years Toronto a disappointment. This years Toronto looks promising. Montreal is not looking bad either… chill out guy
@@politicalbandwagon4989 yes and I was also referring to them when I said what a disappointment they turned out to be! Last year they were the king of the north if your referring to the king of the north from the red wedding in GOT 😭😋
Incredible run by Montreal. If they can re-sign Perry and bring in a good backup they can be back to the final in a couple of years. Edit: So they kept Allen but let Perry walk. They’ve also lost Weber, Tatar and Danault. Nice job Bergevian.
@@politicalbandwagon4989 Well we got Hoffman, savard, Perreault, Paquette and widemen. Poehling is most likely gonna play this season so we're good. Tatar and Danault weren't going nowhere with us. Tatar was gonna be a healthy scratched and he's a playoff bust and Danault wanted too much. Mf thought he was Bergeron or sum shit but the guy had no future with us, we have Suzuki, kk, Evans, Poehling, Paquette, Danault had no space in the lineup, Weber gave us a 8 mil and we got Savard. The only one that hurts is Perry but it's not that bad. Caufield - Suzuki - Anderson Drouin - Evans - Hoffman Gally - KK - Toffoli Perreault - Poehling - Armia Edmunson - Petry Romanov - Savard Chariot - Widemen Price Allen Scratched Byron, Brook, Lekhy, primeau, Ouellette ( wtv the fuck his name is )
@@grimes8857 I’d swap Anderson and Taffoli and probably move Evans to the third line but yeah. We do have a pretty good looking team for the next few years.
@@politicalbandwagon4989 Yeah I agree with you on that swap but I personally feel like Anderson fits better with them because he's a PWF so I'd put him with Caufield ( since he's a small guy ) and I think he's the fastest player between Suzuki and Caufield and I just think that's a good mix. Originally I would've put Evans on third line but Bergevin said on a interview after the playoffs that he wanted Evans on the top 6 so that's why I put him there. Yeah we definitely have a great team these next few years
@@nijaethompson7647 Me, mad? I am not mad. It's just a fact you can't dispute, the Lightning is 18 million over the salary cap. There is nothing that forbids it but it is still that.
@@dindjarin7572 Tell me when Marian Gaborik and Anders Nilsson played and where the CBA establishes a salary cap and I'll say we were 18 million over the cap.
Montreal has proven to be a team of losers with this extremely fortunate run. When the league returns to its normal divisional structure, the real Canadiens team will be revealed. There's no chance of them facing Toronto, Winnipeg, or Vegas again, not with the line-up and hierarchy they've got now. A general manager that only holds his job because (1) he's French and (2) he lets the owner do whatever he wants without question. An owner that cares only about his profit margin and his beer receipts (being just the latest generation of ownership). A goalie that has made clear more than once he feels trapped in a Canadiens jersey. A mountain of a man that spends more time in casts and braces than on the ice (hardly any sane person's idea of an inspiration). No power forwards, no two-way players, and the very first club on the no-trade list of too many free agents to think about. And don't count on Gary Bettman to step down any time soon, either.
There’s so much wrong with this comment. Begivian was a gm of the year runner up so I don’t know why you’d say he only has his job because he’s French. Price has never said he feels trapped in a habs jersey or that he wants out or anything like that. I don’t know what your point was about Weber. Yes, he is battling injuries, but he’s still a pretty good locker room leader. Anderson’s a pretty great example of a power forward. Danault was a decent two way player and Suzuki’s looking like he can be that as well.
