Tbh, it should’ve been: 1969 - Havlicek (because West was on the losing side; Bill Russell would’ve had a whole bunch of them if the award was given out before though) 1973 - Frazier 1978 - Elvin Hayes (media didn’t like him) 1980 - (would’ve been cool to see a tie between Kareem and Magic! Cap didn’t play in the final game6 but he was far and away the best player in that series, and they wouldn’t have been in that position without him; even though Magic KILLED IT in the closing game, and Wilkes too btw) 1981 - Bird (Larry was very inconsistent with his scoring/shooting throughout the series.. but overall? He was FAR greater than Maxwell. Bird easily lead the series in assists, he almost grabbed the same amount of rebounds as a prime Moses Malone, lead the series in steals too! Cornbread scored 2.4 more points on much better FG%, but Larry was miles away with his playmaking/passing/spacing, he was considerably better in rebounding and hustle, and he also played better defense.. not to mention, Bird was the one closing out the series in game6, also clutch as hell! Larry didn’t mess with the media then, so they didn’t give him FMVP though) 1988 - (Worthy was totally.. worthy of it, but so was Magic if they had gave it to him) 2005 - (same as for the above.. Timmy was easily deserving, but Manu was too) 2008 - (I think Pierce was definitely the right choice but KG was right “up there” too) 2015 - Curry (I mean, Iggy was great, came up clutch, played great defense too.. but Steph deserved it more)
