Dallas Rebounds the ball with 7:43 on the clock, since they have 8 full seconds to get it across half court the whistle shouldn't blow until 7:34. 7:43-7:42=Second 1 7:42-7:41= Second 2 7:41-7:40= Second 3 7:40-7:39= Second 4 7:39-7:38= Second 5 7:38-7:37= Second 6 7:37-7:36= second 7 7:36-7:35= second 8 The whistle was blown at 7:35. This is not a shot clock type of call, the rule gives 8 seconds, which by definition can only mean less than 9 seconds. The ref can't count in tenths of seconds. Refs count in full seconds. Therefore if a ref counts any less than 9, it is not a violation.

I have to say, the Celtics Von Waffer one is the worst play of all of them. Not only does he blooper miss a wide open dunk, he then stupidly starts to celebrate, thinking that the dunk went in. Then when he finally realizes that he has to get back on defense, he blindly turns and runs into his teammate that has the ball, causing him to travel.
