The updates to crowds is a huge addition for me. In every game it is a huge immersion detractor when something huge happens and the crowd is crickets or even if they stay at one level for the entire play. Hopefully it's not just for 9th inning situations. 7th and 8th inning situations should be high energy as well, but many times things would happen in 23 in the 7th and 8th and nothing would happen, like the crowd didn't know what to do, so it didn't do anything. Now the next step is to actually go and record each crowd because each stadium has a different sounding crowd. Announcing doesn't seem to be upgraded, so that's unfortunate cause there is a lack of awareness and/or excitement in big moments. They did say they upgraded a bunch of names and nicknames tho so that's good.

I agree, commentators have to put more emphasis on the moment in my opinion, not just talking monotone after reviewing a big play or a game ending play. Dulls the moment for me
Literally right after you make the comment about not hearing excitement in the announcers voices it shows a game saving play and just as monotone as possible he calmly says what a play and that’s the ball game lol spot on yea I’m not much for those two at all either
If anyone wants to justify these updates as ground breaking or a step in the right direction is delusional. They do this every year. Jerk each other off over basic changes and ignore blatant issues that have lingered for years.
Exactly, adding or changing stuff no one asked them too and doing nothing with the issues we all bring up constantly..like the whole draft combine they’re touting, like good job guys your brought back the bowman prospect stuff and gave it a new name. Nobody asked you to ever remove it to begin with.
You need to realize that when you have a game that has been considerded the best sports game for the past couple years, its hard to imrpove on perfection gameplay wise. Franchise def needs some additions but its pretty good for what it is
Bro no matter what SDS does no one’s happy. They for sure are making more changes in RTTS than they have in the past 7 years. I wasn’t gonna buy it this year, but after hearing that they’re gonna being back the scout days I’m gonna get it this year. They’re not making big changes, but at least they’re making changes. That’s why the game has felt so stagnant lately. They’ve never changed RTTS since ‘18 and they finally are now.
They don’t know what they’re doing. Right off the bat I seen the same end game hand shakes as last year. Little new things like that would make the game fresh and different
Honestly as for presentation I’d like to see stadium specific things like the “O” chant during the anthem in Baltimore, anti-Yankees chants in Fenway, Bryce Harper getting booed in DC. Not a huge ask but something that would be more realistic and authentic.
Some decent updates. They always do well for in game presentation and stats but agree with many others the commentary doesn't sound lively enough in certain game moments.
I haven't baught mlb the show since 22. Apparently in the 45 second video of rtts features(mainly just "you can play as a woman now") they have mlb combine and a prospect game
Literally, no difference in the sound of the commentators when it comes to big moments or certain situations. Crowd noise Improvement doesn't sound any different than '23. But yay for being able to create a female player!
They gotta upgrade winning the World Series commentary everytime I won the World Series in franchise I just felt like I won a recreational game and didn’t make it feel significant at all.
Some ballpark security won’t allow you to hold up a sign while in the stands. I was at Minute Maid park vs the A’s in the Crawford boxes, Cespedes just won his 2nd HR Derby. Sign read “Hit Me YC” with a target in the middle. Security told me I’m not allowed to hold up the sign, I must be seated and not hold it above my head after Cespedes Cranked one 2 ft below the wall almost for a HR in the 2nd.
The fact that they still can’t do secondary colors for scoreboards right pisses me off. Why are Yankees blue and Red Sox navy. Why not give Red Sox red in that situation. Or Orioles vs Giants, give one of them orange so they dont share the same color
Agree with the lack of emotion in their recordings, especially with like a walk off home run, they sound so casual about it compared to Matty V when he did it.
It would’ve been cool if for a walk off animation they would have the player running around in the outfield and all the players chasing him/her like that guy for the rays did in 2020🤷♂️ idk just an idea
In 2024, it’s surprising to see an outfielder dive with no momentum after catch is made. There’s still a clear moment of animation change. That’s where it still doesn’t feel all that different from PS3 versions.
It feels like we don’t have that many home run calls all I hear is just that ones hit well and gone and that one is gone. I miss Marty Vs calls like just like the ex girlfriend that ain’t coming back it’s outa here and swing and a drive that one’s hit we’ll still going back at the wall and outs here
Everything looks great major improvements to almost everything. Only thing like you said unfortunately the commentators sound exactly the same but you can unlock different calls from the commentators. Overall very excited to play this great franchise of a game. Thank you @San Diegostudio
I hope they fixed the HDR thing. Pisses me off I have to turn HDR off every time I play any of the newer versions that don't let you turn it off in gameplay. Because HDR flushes out my picture bad.
I think that it's absolutely hilarious that they show an example of the crowd noise for the NLCS atmosphere, and show the Doyers vs Phillies rather than the actual team that WON the National League Pennant LMAO
I really think the commentators just aren't into the game and don't have a feel for it. they always seem like they're only there for a paycheck and aren't invested in it.
Should have done something with the women’s league during Ww1 . Like league of their own, play for Rockford peaches and such, that would have been amazing!!! Missed opportunity
I have no problem with putting women in the game. What really pisses me off is that it’s literally just a different skin for a player. No effort put in anywhere else in the game. Just adding one stupid thing no one wanted and not improving anything. Embarrassing
I like the updates overall but agree the announcers need a refresh. This is a big ask i know but i wish they would introduce actual minor league ballparks in the game. Especially if you play road to the show a lot. There are some great minor league ball parks local to where i live that i would love to see represented. Again...i know that is big ask but would be awesome. I hope they at least made a few new ones to choose from as the minor league parks they have are pretty stale and out dated.
Honestky This game needs classic teams! Just like NBA 2k.. they get popular teams from the past and they will have some hype baseball more then any sport is about its past!!! And not having classic teams is a huge void it's too dependant on current rosters that only change marginally year to year so in essence we're playing a game that has only a few new tweaks with the same rosters for the most part.. include classic broadcasts camera angels and classic teams and watch the flood gates open up with hype!
Are they going to update the pants on the uniforms ever? There are more options now than just the baggy, long, low sock, etc in real life? And I agree, the commentary team needs a facelift. I can't wait to hear Chris Singleton's suit story from his first Yankee Stadium game again...

ADD WORLD SERIES BANNERS AS YOU WIN THEM TO THE STADIUM. TALK ABOUT CAREER ACHIVMENTS MORE AND BETTER. JUST BOUGHT 23 FOR 20$ AND THE IMPROVEMENT IS A LITTLE BETTER. BUT THEY HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO. Thinking about getting this game. Never played a show game.. are they hard to play and fun? I don’t even watch baseball but I’m craving a good offline sports game since nba 2k is trash now.
STILL looks like they haven't fixed the Petco crowd Jesus this is bad. Padres have been brown and yellow for 4 years now. Crowd still is all mostly the old color scheme.
When are they going to fix bases your foot goes thru them 99% of the time . Catchers never catch the ball over the plate or atleast frame it for a strike its always lazy like playing catch in the backyard
Well I’ll admit these are nice but bare minimum fixes to justify paying 70$ for a roster upgrade with better crowd sounds. It’s 2024 the game still looks like it’s from 2013, they have the ability to do so much but it’s not worth it to them. Look at games like the fall out franchises and GTA it doesn’t come out every year so they put the work in problem with any sports game anymore is there’s no competition and no reason to put the work in.
They have done enough to where I'll buy it, I like the stadium exteriors plus each stadium sound unique. Switching lefty pitching controls, player face updates, they will look real! lol, etc. Not playing with the females though, just sayin. Dan O'Doud sounds the same as he always has so that is realistic! 🤣🤣🤣
Jeepers, folks. This is a video game. Written with lots and lots of code. I appreciate the upgrades and tweaks to make it as close to perfect as they can. Do you think that they can just recode many major things from scratch every year because we complain about something. Itll never be quite like real life. Its a computer game. A damn good one. Appreciate how damn good this game is.
They could have put better presentations and graphics in but wasted all of the resources on a feature NOBODY wanted. Oh well at least ramone and SDS got their black rock money and outstanding ESG scores. Pathetic
