EVERY New Style Super Mario Maker Needs! 

I just make Mario Wonder custom levels at this point. It gives me the freedom of level design I've always wanted 😂

Here is how I think the styles will work in SMM3; [2D Maker] * Super Mario Bros * Super Mario Bros 2 * Super Mario Bros 3 * Super Mario Land- will take Land 2's visual style but would combine elements from both Land 1 & 2 * Super Mario World * New Super Mario Bros- Remove the U from the style's name, all 4 could be merged with an option to select different background & music depending on the preference of each player * Paper Mario- this one doesn't have a high likely hood but I think Super Paper Mario is the perfect blueprint for a style like this * Super Mario 3D World- Will use 3D world as a base but will merge with 3D land * Super Mario Bros. Wonder [3D Maker] * Super Mario 64 * Super Mario Sunshine * Super Mario Galaxy- Will merge 1 & 2 together * Super Mario 3D World- the only which will be in both 2D & 3D * Super Mario Odyssey [Modes] I was interested when you brought up Mario spin offs in this video & it would be interesting to see them make their way into maker * Yoshi- 3 Styles (Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's New Island, Yoshi's Crafted World) * Donkey Kong Country- 2 Styles (All 3 DKC games merged, DKCR & DKCTF merged) * Wario- 3 Styles (Wario Land, Wario Land 4, Wario Land Shake It) * Captain Toad- 1 Style (Captain Toad, Treasure Tracker)

I don't care too much about about the styles that they could add as long as SMM3 has a World Maker mode. You know, a World Maker Mode where you carry power-ups between levels, find alternate exits, and deal with map hazards. I don't know what they were thinking with SMM2. The Super World update didn't even have multiple styles!

Mario Galaxy 2 has a whole 2D section at the beginning so it shouldn't be that hard to do.

THINGS I THINK SMM3 SHOULD HAVE - New game styles (SMBWonder, SMB2, NSMBDS and maybe even Yoshi's Island.) - New course themes (Beach, Mountain, Tower, Factory and Volcano.) - Theme variants, (/desert/ice/volcano underground themes, evening/desert sky themes, autumn/ghost forest themes, etc.) - New Powerups (Weird Mario, Hammer Mario, Ice Mario, Mega Mario, Mini Mario, Penguin Mario and some new original ones for SMW and 3DW.) - New yoshis (Light Blue = Ice, Dark blue = Flight, Yellow = Thunder stomp.) - "Background editor" This would let you mix the front part of the background and the back part of the background. If you've ever modded NSMBWII, it has a similiar thing which is simple to use, itd be perfect for a smm game. - Better night backgrounds, toggleable night effects and 3DW night themes. - Option to place water, lava or poison wherever. - A music library. You could perhaps download music from various mario games on an online library and put them in your levels as a sound effect. - Abillity to place whatever tileset in any level. Example, forest ground tiles with a sky background. - More props that dont add much to gameplay but are good for detail. As an example, mushroom platforms behave like semisolids but look different. I'd like more of those. They could add trees to every style maybe. - New enemies (Huckit Crab, Sumo Bro, Foo, *Fuzzy,* etc.) - New gizmos (Rotating gears, Wobble rocks, Jelly gears from SMBW, Poison fog, etc.) - *MORE LEVEL SPACE. I'D LIKE MY LEVELS TO BE LONGER THAN 30 SECONDS.* Even if i use sub areas in smm2, its not even the full length of a NSMBU or SMBW level. Give us like 40 screens. They could perhaps be split across all sub areas, you could put 30 of them in one area and 10 in the other. - Higher semisolid and ground limit for the extra level length. I once made a level that had a unique use of semisolids but ran out of semisolids. - Nsmbu theme not looking awful. (Make the grass taller, make the enemies not low quality and make the background lighting less desaturated.)

I agree they should drop the "u" in Mario Maker 3 and just make it the NSMB style. The style i think has the most potential is Mario Wonder too. But, I think 3D mario games wouldn't work well in 2D. Yes they are possible to implement but what would the benefit be? FLUDD would be absolutely broken in a 2D space. Capturing would feel very limiting in a 2D environment. I feel it would just be a copy of 3D world with a different coat of paint. Maybe they should just incorporate the items instead

All smm3 needs is functioning multiplayer. I would like a mode where you are 1v1 but it’s racing the other players ghost, not sharing the same level bumping into each other. Also a mode when you can custom lobby set up 5 maps in a row and go head to see who finishes first. Would be great for content creators and tournaments

honestly i would love for the next mario maker to take advantage of other series that have had platformers, DKC, Yoshi's island, and Wario land all have their legacies and importance so having a level editor for games like that would be awesome to see on top of the base stuff for mario. also i think it would be really funny to see people try to recreate pizza tower and antonblast levels in the style of wario land.

My own bet is that Wonder will be the only new style, but in exchange, we'll get a bunch of items like the SMB2 Mushroom that work like mini Game Styles.

9:57 I'm just gonna say it, I vehemently disagree. NSMB's movement is completely different to the other styles having triple jumps and ground pounds but not spins and spin jumps, and wall jumps only after a bit of sliding. The Blue Shell and Mini Mushroom would be the 2 power ups and a 3rd could be the Gold Flower from NSMB2. The art style is also quite different to the U art style. And it's likely really quick to add too as it would be a base style

Tbh I am really hoping the next Mario maker makes it so you can use all the gamestyle exclusive items in all styles (example Galoombas, Goombuds, cough cough 3Dworld and game style exclusive powerups)

I would absolutely LOVE a Super Mario Galaxy style! I really hope it could get in. And a Mario Wonder style is a WONDERFUL idea.

What I think would be cool (and very unlikely) is if we had a New Super Mario Bros./NSMB2 style and a NSMBW/U style that could change the look but function the same. The only reasons why I’m not putting them all in one is because NSMB 1&2 don’t have spin jump, multiplayer, or Yoshi while NSMB Wii & U do.

I think Captain Toad could have potential for a mode in every style.

I think you may have forgotten a main point of creating a Luigi, Toad and Toadette version of some of these game styles. Also, what would hinder Nintendo to just put like the Blue Shell in NSMBU and call it a day, they basically did that with Superball Flower after all. Plus, I think all 3D games that takes elements being highly different to the 2D games are not very likely to have a chance. 3D World in Mario Maker 2 have included all of things that would make sense in a 2D aspect. There's no Flipswitches that exists an entire galaxy in Galaxy 2 as an example. So something like changing gravity and maybe the entire F.L.U.D.D., capturing and so on do I highly doubt would even be implemented at all. Maybe I just don't have high hopes in general but it also feels to make sense in my eyes of what Super Mario Maker have been upon now. I would imagine some kind of collectables being added though.

Yes, all NSMB games can be represented in one style, and all 3D games caln also pretty much be in one style, because the graphics are basically the same (with the exception of Mario 64), only the elements differ. The main issue would be which level clear you would use. (flagpole or sandbox)

What if in the next 3d Mario game, Powerups are actual entites and have life and they stick with you during your adventures?

Yeah styles, themes, enemies and power ups are cool but I wanted a video on missing course parts from other mario games.

Nintendo needs to add more that one new game mode this time. They’ll probably do 2 new game styles, one normal, and one for the extra game style

I hope if they make a new Mario maker game we get a new Super Mario Brothers DS style instead of new super mario brother's u. Because they've already done this three times with that game and I want to see the DS version make a comeback

It probably says "Extra Game Styles" since Japanese doesn't really have plurals and the localizers didn't know if more was coming. And yeah, and extra style could've been reduced to a power-up because of the pandemic. There's a blank space since otherwise it wouldn't be on the grid and navigation would be worse.

what if when they combine multiple games like the nsmb ones you can change the music depending on the level you are making like the diffrent castle themes and stuff.

I’d include 64ds over sm64. 1 not only is there more play styles that they can represent but also they can include some of the bosses. I do think nsmb has a few major differences compared to nsmbU. First off the art style is the main reason, second nsmb doesn’t have a spin jump or twirl. Finally we could see a return of versus mode from nsmb ds theres a pc fan remake that showcases what would a nsmb style be in an smm game. With its custom stages & items

I think the 2d sections from Odyssey will be in SMM 3. I would give it a 4.5/5 chance to happen. I also think captain toad should have received a higher chance. Maybe a 3.5/5

If you want this for Mario maker two, well too late, the final major update just came out 4 years ago, so don’t expect any new style Note: I am not being rude

mario galaxy 2 is the black sheep of the 3d mario games.

The night themes were the biggesst embaracement of Mario Maker 2 like come on only stars in the background and what really hurt was 3D world because in the game look at Really Rolling Hills its Day time but in the special its harder veriant is called Night emem NIGHT fals on Really Rolling Hills so and it uses the same esthetic as Super Bell Hill so why is it that 3D world has Zero Night themes its no excuse
