Bears fans would have been happy if their team drafted Deshaun Watson or Patrick Mahomes. Trubisky was a huge bust and Jay Cutler had better stats as a Bears QB than Trubisky.

With the Chicago Bears, I completely disagree with them missing on Mahomes. Trubisky was a bust but I feel Mahomes would have only done slightly better than him if he went to the Bears and we would at best consider Mahomes to be a meh qb. The missed pick for the Bears was Watson. He went a fixed a mostly failing and clunky Texans team with one of the worst head coaches out there and helped lead them to a playoff win.

The Marcus Davenport pick made sense at the time. The Saints honestly felt like they were that one piece away from a Super Bowl, and to be fair, they were, but of course, we all know how THAT ended. Here's one that I feel would be more appropriate: GOT - *Payton Turner* NOT - *Jeremiah Owosu-Koramoah*

I know it's NFL fans' favorite what-if, but I'm actually not as sure about the Mahomes to the Bears hypothetical; I just don't know if we'd have seen the same Mahomes with the Bears that we have with the Chiefs. Don't get me wrong, Mahomes on any team comes with the big arm and the ability to make the occasional internet-breaking play, but where I think KC comes in is a lot of the fine-tuning (i.e. teaching him to be smart and avoid the high-risk throws(. Without that, I think what we would have seen would have been more like late-career Brett Favre -- still the big arm and ability to make plays, but also costing his team games by taking way too many risks. I mean, we saw Mahomes regress a bit in this respect in 2021 as is; imagine how much worse it could be if he hadn't had good coaching and mentorship to (mostly) teach him how not to do that. Before all the off-the-field stuff, my view on this was that they actually should have taken *Deshaun Watson* over Trubisky, because Watson wasn't exactly in the best situation either in Houston, so I feel like he'd have had a better chance of being able to have a similar career in Chicago. Knowing what we know now... I feel like the best move for the Bears in 2017 would probably have been to just take a star at another position (Jamal Adams?) and wait to get a QB out of the 2018 class.

Thing is, it's not that we missed out on Mahomes; it's that we missed out on Watson. Not a lot of people knew Mahomes was gonna be where he is now, whereas Deshaun Watson should've been a clear pick for us. Hell, he literally won the NCAA Football Championship that year, but all them damn suits and executives were so set on Trubisky for whatever reason

This is the problem with hindsight, there is no guarantee being a success in college is gonna translate into being a success in the NFL, triple points that had a different team taken one of the current stars, the same result would happen. I mean, if Patrick Mahomes went to Chicago, does anyone seriously think he could have turn Chicago around and won a Super Bowl? No. They probably would have ruined Mahomes. It's just as much about the coaching staff and front office.

These are very good but I don't think anything will ever come close the Steelers biggest regret in the draft. 1983 with the 21st over pick the draft Gabriel Rivera. Who suffered a career ending injury and and his 1st season. And just a few more picks down was Dan Marino. quarterback from Pitt. Is this pic kept the steelers back for a long. In the same season Terry Bradshaw suffers also a career ending injury and we didn't have another franchise QB until Ben Rothlisberger in 2004.

Patty Mahomes wasn't a MISS, he's average-above average, KC's loss to Brady's Bucs exposed him, and now teams realize that he's just like Farve, reckless and without Tyreek now, much like Farve has his moments but without is just average, with the odd moment sprinkled every so often, NOT worth that monster contract. Edit: Farve had a HOF career, but even when he had all the records, he never was considered Elite, and definitely not a GOAT like Brady & Rice are considered now, you can have all the garbage time padding in the world, it don't make you a multi time champion, where'd the legendary 28-3 comeback, where's ring 2-7, where's the will to win, even at the expanse of your own contract to get help, anyone can win when your up by 20 points, but when he's down at the start of the 4th, he's out.

Nope, I'd take Davenport 10 times out of 10. His only weakness is availability. When he's on the field, he's an absolute monster who elevates the D-line. Last season without him, the Saints had no pass rush. With him, Cam Jordan goes off.
