@@melroze lol 😂 me & my brother waffle over this every season. The pants are colored "metallic blue" according to Cowboys brass. But then they wear actual silver pants w their dark blue jerseys because the metallic blue ones clash horribly lol. Add in some inexplicable Royal blue numbers on the home white jerseys, too lol
Not every team looks good with a black alternative. I could see the Jets because black could be a third color for them, but I don't like Detroit. I think their blue is so coollike it is, and black makes it looks like a Raiders rip-off when in fact the Raiders were inspired by the silver on the lion's helmets.. It's the same with the Mets when they went to add black to their uniforms. OK, it was for the Giants, but that's what the orange was for. Maybe a tinge of black was fine but not black uniforms with blue and orange lettering, but when the Cincinnati Reds put black into their logo, that was really cool. I think you can have too many colors sometimes. Unless you have a really snazy way to pull it off, I'm one of few who really loved the Astros' Horizon or rainbow or sunset or whatever those striped uniforms were called in the early 80s. Although I'm legally blind and it might have been navy, I thought the word Astros and star were black there. That was a nice, unique way to accessorize with several colors.
I like all of them except the browns they look boring only change is the face mask but the rest look fire lions tho the black alternate best uniform in the nfl i cant wait to see the broncos new uniforms hope their good
Long time Browns fan. I like that their uniforms are kind of boring. They suit working-class Cleveland. I think their white jerseys/white pants/orange helmets are beautiful in their old-school simplicity. When I went to games in old Cleveland Stadium, the Browns, in their whites with the orange helmets, "popped" against the gray Northeastern Ohio sky. They looked BIGGER than their opponents. I embrace tradition. I would think the statute of limitations would be out on all-black uniforms being cool, sick, fire, or whatever. Seems like everybody was trying them. I think all-black is yawn.
Its the NFL as in professional football, which means building and selling your brand. Only a small handfull of NFL teams don't have their team name or home city on their jerseys.
