Your videos are second-to-none. Seriously good explanations, especially for the beginner. Just bought the new Z6III and have watched a tonne of your Z-glass vids before buying my first lens. Settled on the 24-120 and will eventually get the 50mm 1.8 S. Thanks ZW.
Having had the d850 & trinity of f2.8s , I’m totally blown away by just how light many z lenses are. For my Z f I’m not going beyond the 70-180, currently I only have small primes. Pity the 35mm f1.4 is so new for this video . The z6 iii is definitely tempting for that 100-400 .
I bought used Z fc - in addition to my Fujifilm line of cameras - some months ago, mint but cheap. Both kit zoom lenses are really good. But I bought a used 12-28 PZ for 200 eur. I use it a lot, for stills. Indoor events with use of fill in flash, narrow streets, street, ... Range up to 42 mm is nice. Can come quite close. I like it very much. Shooting for 55 years.
Hi and Thank you ZWade, if I understand what you're saying about the SE lenses, "optically identical" means that they produce the same image photographically, but the external appearance of the lens body itself looks more "retro", not the images that you make with them?
Exactly. They are the optically the same as in they have the same lens element design. Same amount of piece of glass in the same amount of groups. They only differ in outside appearance and price
I'm so insanely into getting a hold of the 180-600, the variable and broad range is perfect for me as a hobbyist who wants to do a lot of different things, specially in terms of wildlife photography, and the price is relatively doable ... someday maybe haha. Only thing keeping me away from going for it is the stuff about image quality vs super zoom lenses, but if it's a lot sharper than a P900 at 600-800, I'd still go for it
Got to say as a keen amateur since my first praktica MTL3 in I’m guessing 1980, I know everything you’re saying regarding use of these lenses. However I totally enjoyed this video and I’m sure there is no better way for anyone (including myself) to familiarise themselves with the range of Z lenses currently available. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
There is a ton of information here, thanks for putting this together. I own a few of these Nikon lenses. The 400 mm 4.5 and up is so sharp and light . comparing this to my 400mm 2.8 f mount lens which is insanely sharp.......and........heavy!
ZWade ZEE Wade Photo! Want You to know even though I thought about it, I decided I would NOT make any Comments on or about THE 24-200 LENS. None at all. 😃 I am looking forward to your ‘take’ on the new 35 f/1.4 Nikkor Z lens however. Stay safe and well! ✌
@@georgedavall9449 lmao. Just wait until I can go full time. The Al Gore rithms will really love. A ZWade in the hand is worth 2 in the Bush….Or something like that.
Well. I never said it has no place. I e only ever said it’s optically the worst, I hate it, and it’s not worth what they charge. I do believe it should cheaper, and if it was, it would have a place hahahaha
@@ZWadePhoto No, Not Yelling! 😯 Sorry You saw it that way. It’s kind of my little trademark of sorts, emphasizing my view on a particular Video, by adding the periods, and it capitalizes each letter. It was a very thorough and informative video. 😕
