Kent Hoffman's talks are always so popular because they're honest, real, and speak to the masses. He talks of universally known experiences of wanting to be loved, and figuring out how the hell to love with our whole heart. This earth is extremely lucky to have a man like Kent inhabiting it, and spreading his understanding and honesty with us all. This TED talk is long overdue, he has been a captivating speaker for so many years. As always Kent, beautifully spoken.

The words and the work of Kent Hoffman and the Circle of Security project have had a profound influence on my life and those who have had the opportunity to hear it. It is my hope that this Tedx Talk spreads exponentially to get the word out about the quintessential need we all share for human connection and the infinite worth of every single individual. The grace, compassion and wisdom expressed in this brief talk is worth every second.

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST PROFOUND TEDTALKS I HAVE WATCHED! Kent Hoffman does a brilliant and simply job of challenging us to find our own infinite worth, and then he goes on to outline what we do to practice grasping the infinite worth of others and ourselves. The value of trusting our own infinite worth is that it gives us a new method to deal with our emotional pain. As well, trusting that others have infinite worth, and experiencing our ability to have vision to see it, reinforced that we are, at our core, good people. The more we trust our own goodness, the more we trust ourselves to manage our emotional pain. I don't want to spoil it for you... IT IS SO GOOD! and there is so much more i can say... WATCH IT! I have, more than once, and I will again... :)

I have heard Kent speak several times over the years and every time I learn something new. I have recently found myself wondering right in the middle of interactions with others if I am indeed treating them in thought, word, and action as if they had infinite worth, and changing course if the answer is no. This TED talk is well worth 20 minutes of your time!

Once again, the heartfelt teachings and insights from Kent Hoffman brought tears to my eyes as well as hope in my soul. Infinite Worth. Wow. It's a concept that is both intrinsically simple as well as deeply redemptive and complex. Why do all of us experience and hear the voice that we are not lovable? This is something I have struggled with for years. Imagining that that voice could actually be silenced by practicing Infinite Worth instills me with hope, gratitude, and a hint of fear. I'm not sure how life would look without that dark whisper in my ear. Imagine if the entire world practiced this! Our perceptions, our interactions, our involvement and connection to other people and life would bloom in a way that is almost inconceivable. Kent, I am filled with gratitude for your bravery to face the world with tenderness, forgiveness, love and light. You and your work inspire me every day. This is a TedTalk that both resonates and inspires. Thank you.

Kent unfolds such wisdom in this brief presentation! He brings us back home to where we should begin again- with authentic, honest connection with ourselves, others and beyond. I couldn't help but reflect on what an amazing amount of energy we spend trying to keep our masks on to avoid our own vulnerabilities and others at the expense of true love. Kent's use of still photos infuses his presentation with powerful facial displays pointing to life's guarantees- a mixture of joy and suffering at varying degrees. He so simply, yet powerfully, communicates the REAL that we all need to come to terms with in order to live and love deeply. This video is a gift!

There is always genius in simplicity. Kent Hoffman has a knack for cutting through the bullshit. The simple things his teachers told him were so profound in there absolute truth. Kent Hoffman is my uncle. No better man do I know. For the last 45 years of my most often tragic life, Kent was always there for me. Never flinched, never wavered. Always loved me unconditionally, no matter what. He is a living testament to what he says. Through years of addiction and homelessness my uncle guided me through it. He unknowingly kept me from committing suicide on numerous occasions. The real deal is what my uncle is. If you only watch one thing this year on Ted talks, make it this. See it, hear it and know it's the truth. I love you Kent, with all my heart. Garvar.

I've been more than once to Kent Hoffman's trainings. And I steel want to hear more, to learn more from him? Why? The simple reason is this: he made me understand and feel THE INFINITE WORTH OF the HUMAN BEING, just this, Infinite Worth... And the complex reason is because his speech and trainings are always evidence-based. For nowadays this has another Infinite Worth. Please WATCH THIS VIDEO AND REFLECT!

I like this message a lot and agree with it wholeheartedly (even though I maybe don't always put it into practice as much as I'd like to, if I'm being honest): "Every person you will ever meet has infinite worth". What isn't addressed in this video is HOW one can arrive at this viewpoint and worldview. It's interesting, as he doesn't offer any proof for this worldview or any real basis for it, but (rightly enough, I think) proclaims it as self-evident. I think though another important conversation to have is WHY every person we will ever meet has infinite worth. I am wondering to myself if it is more difficult to arrive at this conclusion without acknowledging a loving God who has created us with inherent and untouchable dignity and worth. Without a loving creator God, how exactly can we be confident of our worth? I think this would be a great discussion to have.

The homeless soul will always do whatever it takes for a one night shelter. Who could blame him for wanting refuge from wind and rain and cold? If you met a gate keeper who changes his mood every day, letting you in one night because you made him laugh, letting you out the next night because you didn't know the song he wanted to hear, wouldn't it be easier for you to think "it is all up to me", instead of "it is all hopeless and totally up to him"? Until you may feel the caress of the rain and wind and find refuge in the family of things...thank you for your message.

I see worth in everyone around me, except myself. I've also been told I'm mediocre once. This talk didn't help at all... I guess, I need therapy.

According to this #awesome girl who #sparkles in #quincyIL, love is leaving a person on the back burner: living in one man's house, have a one-night stand with another, move forward to date a third, all to fall back on option two within six months. If we all knew this rule, perhaps our relationships would be better. :(

The Bible is the first instance of men believing in his own infinite worth. All other religions allow human sacrifice, suicide, don't believe in the soul, afterlife, etc. Christianity and Islam also spread these concepts.

Sounds kind of anthropocentric... But it's nice.
