Lallana was so underrated that season

i loved when Firmino almost always did the fake take off the shirt celebration.

People forget this was probably the most important season we probably have had under Klopp. People moaned and moaned that we were sacrificing the cups and we should be more ambitious but top 4 was crucial at this point. It was also the season where Klopp could really work on his tactics with the team since we weren't in Europe. We ended up barely getting into the top 4 so it was a good decision in the long-term to bin the cups and focus on the league.

When Lallana first signed, I thought give him a season or two then he will show us what he’s all about, boy did he show us this season!

This was probably the first season that we started playing the system that has made us the greatest. You could tell we were finding our feet, but when it worked it worked well.

Loved how Sadio imitated everyone's celebration almost through-out the season!

I will say it again, Mane is a beast, he's signing was and is the catilyst for the success we have now achieved. The way he plays was the trigger. big up Adam lallana for this season aswell, he always started the pressed and he's energy level was incredible this season, shame about the injuries.

17:45 I love this goal. It perfectly demonstrates the great connection between the squad on pitch. At first, both Lallana and Origi realise he's offside, so Lallana does a little turn while keeping full control of the ball to give Origi time to track back, then he sets him off. And while the Arsenal defenders are busy signalling for offside, no one notices Gini peeling off in the centre unmarked until it's too late. The rest is basically a training ground formality.

It's quite amazing to think that the season after we finished 8th (in 15/16), for the first half of this season, we were on fire and in second looking to chase Chelsea for the title. However, defensively, we kinda fell apart in games. Great season and the start of the Liverpool we know and love now.
