For myself if RF2 had the V6 I’d be happy. The formula pro is super fun to drive and HARD to get right. I don’t know what it is at the moment but RF2 is just smashing it out the park! I’ve exclusively played ACC (Leagues and LFM) but RF2 just keeps drawing me back! Hope the content drop for Q4 is soon!
I don't quite agree. I think v10's is exactly what this generation needs. Too big, too heavy, too... Boring. A screaming V10 at least gives some excitement, and why shouldn't we adapt real standards to their pinnacle?
@@TopSim oh absolutely, but there are more than enough ways to do that. The Formula Pro's give a unique angle which is far more engaging than the modern formula. For years, people have been asking to bring back the screaming engines in real life formula 1, but with the crackdown on fossil fuels, I'm pretty sure this is about as close as we're going to get.
I know its a mod, but the Formula Alpha 22 by VRC for AC is one of the best formula 1 experiences I've had in any game, it feels better and more realistic than the F1 22 game and even recreates the porpoising effect.
For DRS in iRacing, the green lights on left side of the rev lights are the indicators. @3:47 You can see a single green light. I believe that means you have passed the DRS detection zone. @3:53 There are 2 green lights. That means you have passed the DRS line and have access to DRS. Shortly after that @3:54 it shows 4 green lights. That means you have pressed the DRS button and the rear wing has opened up. Another way of telling if it is open depends on your mirrors and FOV. I can usually see them open in VR when I look at my mirrors as well, but then I learned about the green lights. As Picard would say, "There are four lights!" Also if you have Crew Chief installed, there is a sound cue you can set up. It will beep if you are eligible for DRS then another beep when you open DRS. I think that is fairly similar to the F1 games.
Would love to see a comparison between AC on console and PC. I'm on PS4 and I know there's no modding but it seems like the tuning is very simplified (unless I've missed an advanced setting option) For sim racing on console AC is a fantastic package, but as it's a sim it's a tough one to start with. I'm comfortable with ACC but driving the same car/track in AC I don't feel in control.
Honestly to this day I wonder what's taking Studio397 long from getting a working ERS Hybrid system in the game? They partnered up with F1 so I find it baffling there are no news regarding that one missing component for Sim Racers to enjoy racing on Hybrid cars i.e. LMH and F1.
AMS2 is your sim of choice. They cover every major regulations change from 1967 through to the current day (with the notable exception of 06-08 and 14-16).
Dunno how realistic AC's handling is. I could throw the RSS F1 cars into almost any corner at any speed and it would stick, which they dont in real life.
I have driven a Renault F1 car in 2019 in Austria. In my opinion the new RSS Formula Hybrid 2022 (AC)is the most realistic sim experience. Second place iRacing and third (no joke) F1 22.
@@schiedinator8074 don’t know exactly, think it was 3000 euro for 2,5 days (0.5 day was in F1 car). Think the regular price was higher, was a present from Tata.
