Even if he did do drugs that don't change the truth. People always try to use that as an excuse to discredit someone but in reality it doesn't matter. Katt could have been smoking crack, popping pills or doing lines and it don't matter at the end of the day regarding the truth. To be honest I find it hard to believe he didn't do drugs at one point. Go back and watch his old specials. His eyes are dilated and he's sweating buckets but that don't matter. In fact if he did do drugs I would respect him more. It means he's human and faces the same vices we all face and it doesn't take away from the truth he speaks.

Shannon Sharp the whole interview probably was thinking to himself how he managed to get one of the greatest interviews of all time when Kat started dropping nuclear bombs on everyone left and right.
No, during the interview, Shannon was crying about possibly getting cancelled, so KATT had to tell him what was going to be the effect of the interview and Shannon calmed down.
Thing is Shannon has to uphold somewhat of a clean image. He’s not just the face of this podcast but he’s talking ball on the fox. This could have landed him in hot water but having Katt on your platform one on one speaking nothing but facts is worth all the water.
Some people keep saying he's stuck in the past and won't let go of problems that already established everyone's career, but I personally think without someone like Kat to bring these problems to the public history will repeat itself.
He’s not stuck in the past in my opinion because people been shitting on him for at least the last decade. They been talking about this man for years. Up until this point where he is clearing the air.

When a character in a comedy movie is centralized around the fact they're accustomed to prison, one of two jokes, especially in that era of movies, was ALWAYS made. Either that character is gets r*ped, if they're a smaller guy, or they rape/imply/attempt to r*pe someone. It's not presented graphically. Would probably be some comedic one liner from crews, followed by seeing a view of their feet where Katt is spun around and his feet start levitating off the ground.
Katt is man that has adopted several children and as a single dad looks out for them, even cooking home made meals for all of them depending on what they like to eat. There’s no way a man like that would sell his soul.
When he said most comedians don't get boo'd enough I felt that! I couldn't agree more! I feel the same way with rappers. Way too many people just giving out passes to people with no credentials or skills.

Rickey Smiley *DID* change his story. First, he said he *had* the Money Mike role and Katt Williams was supposed to play Santa, and “somebody” decided they should switch roles. Then, after the Katt Williams interview, suddenly, he only “auditioned” for Money Mike, he didn’t “have” the role. Clearly, Katt is watching and listening to *everything* and taking names AND notes. 📝😂

As someone who does not follow celebrities and this type of drama, thanks for this -- I loved Katt's interview and had no idea about a lot of what was being said, so this clears a lot of things up for me. @CT-ho6si The sad part was that Wanda Smith was suppose to be interviewing Red Grant...He was there to promote his Stand Up Show....Katt was in town for his award and told Red he would drive him to the interview that morning...Katt was going to sit in the hallway while Red was on the air...But, Wanda wanted him to come in the studio with Red...The other 2 males were interviewing Red and everything was going fine....The when Wanda got her turn, she went cut throat on Katt for some reason....LOL
What you have to understand is that ppl r terrified of doing it because of the consequences, losing everything and even losing your life this is very real no conspiracy

If you are a young Gen X or older Millennial who has been watching for the past 3 decades, this interview and these receipts aren’t only funny, they are to be applauded as facts. Katt is not lying. Not at all. I remember each and every moment and incident he speaks on. The only one that I did not learn until AFTER the fact was Cedric stealing the joke on KOC. I bought that DVD the week it dropped, and I enjoyed it- especially and mostly Bernie’s set, of course (Steve isn’t all that funny. Cedric CAN be funny. DL just has never been “lmao” funny. Bernie was a TRUE King of Comedy). Anyway, I loved that joke Cedric stole, as well as the “Lil Pistal Starta/Delicious” bit. It wasn’t until a few years after that, that I was online and came across folks talking about Katt on BET doing that bit several years PRIOR to Cedric. At the time, RU-vid was in its infancy, so I was not yet able to see the clip, but I had no reason to NOT believe the statements that the material was crafted and belonged to Katt Williams. I didn’t see Katt performing the aforementioned bit/joke until maybe 9-10 years ago, when it was uploaded either here on YT or on Vimeo. So much love and respect for Katt. I would love to have him write his own memoir or autobiography, and release an audiobook of him reading it with all of his brilliant, unique vocal inflections, and clever nuance, superb timing, etc. I’m sure Katt doesn’t need a big publisher. He could self publish and promote it. If he builds it, he has to know we will come and support. This man has never changed or deviated from who he is at his core. He never stopped touring and putting on other up and coming artists/comics. He never stopped speaking truth to power. He never stopped supporting other comics, typically behind the scenes, as that’s what true kindness and love is. It is not selfish, nor is it prideful. I, for one, am thankful we have Katt. We lost Carlin. Pryor. Bernie. Mooney. The intelligent, inherently funny, unapologetic comics and truth sayers. We still have Dave and Katt, and I am thankful. I am going to watch some of the comics that Katt has put on over the years. They deserve some shine, attention, and flowers. Oh, and I will never forget when Kathy Griffin was “cancelled” after the photograph with the likeness of that bloodied, orange, faithless, good for nothing son of a bitch’s head. MANY of Kathy’s “friends” and peers flipped on her in the coldest, most flippant, way. We know who those people are and we know why they did her like that. But in that time, Kathy did have support from some peers (and her legion of longtime fans- like me) in her corner. Look up Kathy Griffin talking about Katt. Hell, he was even a guest on her D-List reality show, years ago. Kathy may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but she’s never been a liar or a sell out or a monster. I grew up watching Katt Williams. He was my dads favourite comedian and we use to watch his comedian shows on television together. One of the realest in the industry, and one of the funniest.

Norm macdonald was a perfect example of this, never tried to "educate" you or lecture you, he just told jokes and was funny constantly. When dave chappelle says you were the funniest person he's ever met in Norms memorial special you know you're a genius. RIP.

I don’t know why people are getting upset at Katt for speaking on these topics if he’s coming on to respond to what others were saying. So it was his turn to set the record straight. It’s crazy kat has been doing this for years on his own and no one has been listening even going as far as some people calling him obsessed, washed up, jealous etc etc crazy what giving someone a platform with something real to say does for public perception. Yes but the take about staying in the background and not being famous themselves is not a bad thing. I also don‘t know the wife of Katt Williams and her face can be weird. When you are so famous on a global level I don’t think it is ever productive or healthy for both people to be famous and talked about.

Katt is point blank about Cedric NOT being an entertainer. When I first watched Cedric, I was highly disappointed about his lack of entertainment. The only thing I remember that was remotely entertaining about Cedric is his closing bit of backing up the vehicle, and now we see that it's because it's not even his routine.

The strategy he mentioned about interviews is actually used often by hosts. Heard it a couple times already. You meet people backstage and be nice to them and say how much of a fan you are and say you will not mention controversial shit and it‘s all love. Then on air you confront them and can act all high and mighty when they latch out.
