Zoroastrianism is "categorically" polytheistic, in that there are "divinities" created by Ahura Mazda, but Ahura Mazda is the Sole Uncreated Creator. It's mostly because of the liberal use of the term "divinity," or because Zoroastrian tradition didn't use the concept of "messenger" (angel), and therefore the only way to communicate what is essentially an angel is by calling it a "divine being." The Yazatas are created beings that sustain natural concepts that align with Asha (Righteousness), just like how the 7 archangels in the Abrahamic faiths sustain concepts such as healing, leading the heavenly host, being the chief messenger, guarding conjugal relations etc.

I loved the video but I wanted to point out one detail that is wrong. Hare Krishna is not a religion. The correct term is Gaudiya Vaishnavism. 'Vaishnavism' means that you worship Vishnu and and 'Gaudiya' means that you believe that 'Chaitanya Mahaprabhu' was the eleventh avatar of Vishnu. I hope this helps.
@TheCreativeExplainer
@TheCreativeExplainer 3 месяца назад
Thank you for watching and sharing your insight! You're absolutely correct, Gaudiya Vaishnavism is the specific tradition within Hinduism that worships Vishnu, with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu revered as an avatar. Your clarification adds depth to the discussion. Much appreciated!

Ah. A nice, informative topic that I, as a Christian, thoroughly enjoyed and did not, in fact, proceed to comment about how every other religion is wrong. Turns out, however, that some children with unrestricted internet access found their way here and turned this place into a sass pool of "I'm right but I won't debate if someone comes with other arguments"

Nice video! I understand you want to keep it short and sweet, so I wouldn't consider this a criticism of any kind; just wanted to put it on the record that Zoroastrians do not worship fire. This is mostly a misconception spread during the Islamic conquest of Iran to justify persecuting "idol worshippers." Fire for Zoroastrians is an icon of Truth and of the Divine. Zoroastrians pray *towards* fire just like how Muslims pray towards the Kaaba or Christians pray/worship towards icons of Jesus or the saints. All the best 🔥

@TheCreativeExplainer Месяц назад
That's a great addition to the conversation! You provided valuable insight into the misconception surrounding Zoroastrianism and the significance of fire in their faith. It's important to clarify these misconceptions to foster a better understanding of different religions. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and contributing to the discussion!

Why did only say that Abraham was a patriarchist when 90% of the people you mention also were? (Not because they were bad people, it just that, that's what was normal at the time)
@TheCreativeExplainer
@TheCreativeExplainer 2 месяца назад
Thank you for your comment and for highlighting an important aspect. You're correct that patriarchal structures were common in many ancient societies, including those mentioned in the video. The mention of Abraham as a patriarch was intended to contextualize his role within the broader historical and cultural framework of his time. While patriarchal systems were prevalent, it's crucial to recognize that societal norms evolve over time, and our understanding and interpretations of historical figures and events continue to evolve as well. The focus of the video was to provide a broad overview of religious concepts rather than an exhaustive analysis of societal structures. However, your point underscores the complexity of historical contexts and the need for nuanced discussions when exploring religious and cultural histories. Thank you for contributing to the conversation.

It bothers me a little that, aside from Scientology, they only did the less controversial religions here. Where are the Pagan religions like Wicca, Celtic Paganism, Gothic Paganism, Nordic Paganism and also Satanism? Please note that I’m not saying I think those religions are controversial - quite the contrary, actually. I love those religions! It’s just that they are controversial to many…

@TheCreativeExplainer
@TheCreativeExplainer Месяц назад
Thank you for bringing up agnosticism! Agnosticism, which acknowledges the limitations of human knowledge regarding the existence of deities, is indeed an important worldview to consider within the spectrum of belief systems. Due to time constraints, this video focused on providing brief explanations of various religions, but agnosticism is certainly a significant perspective that merits further exploration. Your input helps to enrich the conversation and highlights the diversity of human beliefs. Thank you for raising this point!

Buddhism is not really a religion. Its viewed as a religion by people but in reality it is a philosophy and a way of life. As for the definition of "religion", it 's when you believe of something supernatural like a god that exist and you're alive for him. In Buddhism we follow a man called "Buddha" and he lived and died just like everyone. We follow his lessons and his way of a happy life. You may see some people practicing it like a religion : praying, making "gifts" called "danée" to monks but there are buddhists because they believe of what Buddha said. I hope this helps

Hinduism is not a religion. Hare Krishna is not a religion. Lord Shri Krishna is an avatar of Lord Vishnu and is extremely important for all Hindus. Neither is Buddhism a religion but one of many strands of the Hindu philosophies. If all the religions were rivers then Hinduism would be an ocean, never fit into the definition of a river. It is vast with no beginning and no end. Looking at Hinduism as a religion is really pointless.
@TheCreativeExplainer

Thank you for sharing your viewpoint. It's fascinating to consider Hinduism in such a vast and interconnected way. While some may see it as beyond the scope of traditional religion, others find value in exploring its rich traditions and practices within a religious framework.

you, together with britannica, are wrong. Zoroastrianism is not a monotheistic religion. Mithra and Anahita etc. are other gods of Zoroastrianism. Also, scientology is not a religion, but a silly cult
@TheCreativeExplainer
@TheCreativeExplainer Месяц назад
I appreciate your perspective! While Zoroastrianism is often considered monotheistic due to its emphasis on the worship of Ahura Mazda as the supreme deity, it does indeed have aspects that some may interpret as polytheistic or henotheistic, such as reverence for entities like Mithra and Anahita. As for Scientology, views on its classification as a religion vary widely, and it has been a subject of debate among scholars and practitioners. Your insights contribute to the ongoing discussion on these topics, and I'm grateful for your input!

islam, Christianity, and Judaism were all from god, they weren't made up by a human. the reason is the books for them have information that no human can know that time and even in the meantime there is some info that we still dont know . The bible and the jews book were misrepresent and twisted by people ; thats why they have a lot of mistake . On the other hand the book of islam (Quran ) has been unharmed ; coz a lot of people from 1400 years ago till this day have memorized it Letter by letter. and muslims are raceing to memorizing it , We and the science believe that it has no mistake. and no one from now till the end of the world will find a mistake in it. Beliefs about Jesus vary among different religions and individuals. According to Christian doctrine, Jesus is considered the Son of God and part of the Holy Trinity, which includes God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. However, beliefs about Jesus may differ in other religious or philosophical contexts.
