I can't believe we didn't do this sooner!! This has been a gamechanger for us as we are able to take a lot more photos with this standing flay lay station as it we don't have to stop due to pain in our backs and knees.
It's a simple setup that can be done in multiple ways; this is just one of them, and we highly recommend checking this out if you struggle with back/knee pain from being on the ground taking photos for Ebay, Poshmark, Facebook, Mercari, Depop etc.
As resellers, we are very satisfied with this setup and wished we had known about this earlier! No, this is NOT an ad, lol!!

100% recommend!!!!! The only clothing that doesn’t «stick» is very silky/smooth clothes such as track pants/jacket and windbreakers. Other than that, this works like a dream! :-D

Great video guys. Now if you wanted to use that table take pictures of shoes or other items, just use that ruler with clips on each end to hold it across the table and it will keep the shoes or other items from sliding off. Also a draftsman table works on the same concept.

Just two hinges, one on each side at the top of the board! Just have to make sure the hinges are the correct way!

I love how the jacket does not slide down. What kind of material did you use for the cover?

It's just a regular blanket that we got from Target!!! Just pull it tight around the board and staple it on the back to the board for a smooth surface. It's crazy how the clothes stick on! PS: some material may still slide down such as the track jacket material! When we have those clothing items, we have to increase the board angle to make it more flat - we do this by adding a piece between the wall/floor corner and the wooden piece (this "lifts" the board more from the bottom which creates a more horizontal angle. The bigger the piece added between the wall and wooden stick, the more horizontal angle). Hope that helps!

I was thinking just prop the board against the wall on a slant and have something heavy at the bottom (cinder block?)to hold it in place.

I place mine on top of my work bench and lean it against the wall then use a clamp 🗜️ as a stopper. I’m sure you can use the same method on a desk or table. No drilling or hinges required. I use this method bc I’m tight on space and had no available area to drill to a permanent wall. Hope that helps!

Can you tell me the dimensions? Flat board and prop stick. How high did you hang on wall?

Hello, sorry for late response! Flat board is 4x4 feet, prop stick is 40’’ and the hinges attached to the wall (at the top of the board) are placed about 59’’ from the floor 👍🏼 We have an updated video of all the materials used and how it’s set up as well.

What lights are you using for your flat-lay lighting platform? I've been tasked by my wife to create...and this was an idea I had, but the video certainly enhances my initial idea. Just need to figure out what lighting works best, so I can get the "honey-do" completed!! (lol).

Yesss this flat lay station has been a gamechanger for us, definitely recommend!! We have two studio lights with the screen (like a thin fabric to dilute the strong light) on each side of the board shining on it, and also use a third studio light without a screen from a bird view (standing next to board but very high up shining down on board) - hope that helps! You can check out our more recent video where the thumbnail says «Pro Ebay Photos» and we show more of this as we changed it up a bit from this video👌🏼

Great question, the wooded piece is 40 inches long (yes, we did cut it to that length!). We have the top of our board placed 60 inches from the ground (but this can be different if you want it higher or lower depending on YOUR height and what's comfortable for you). Definitely a game changer and wish we'd made this sooner! :-)

The tilted board is more so for your clothing items. As for hats and shoes we just use a flat table/desk against a blank wall with the studio lights shining on the item :)

Couldn't recommend more! My back and knees are THANKING me! The only material that doesn't work is the typical track material (track pants/jackets) as it slides off. Other than that, everything else seems to stick! :)

Yes unless I do two sessions, which would be 2 yrs. After 1 hr, the studio lights start to make me sweat so I have to take a break lol!
