I am so unimpressed with cinematics now. I need to see gameplay. I understand that it opens the door, but as a tried and tested gamer, good gamplay makes me excited for a game. You can thank ubisoft and EA.

That;s very understandable but it's like what you say, it opens the door, builds up hype. Sometimes, especially for smaller teams, cinematic is all they can do. Not to mention most games will pivot in the middle of development. Again, not saying that you are wrong but they got to at least let people know "Hey world, this is what you are working on, keep an eye on us in the coming months/years."

They annoyingly gave more time to these unfunny people to introduce a trailer, or give out an award, over the actual award winners. I noticed serveral of these award winners were quickly cut off. That was their moment, give them the proper amount of time to talk, as they may never be back on that stage again.

Agreed! There were about 8+ awards that they just announced the winners for and continued on to the next announcement… Which I thought was pretty unfair for the people who earned those awards. It’s too bad, but I hope they don’t do it again next year

@@tylerhunter6379 yes I agreed as well especially the 8+ teams that won and did not even get a chance to go on stage and soak in the moment. Why call it an award show when the team that wins do not get enough time or even worse not to go on stage to feel the acknowledgement and appreciation for their hard work. I know this isn't the only type of award show that does that but I hate it.

Those Sega Remakes all looked good to me, can't wait to get my hands on all of them especially GOLDEN AXE, and STREETS OF RAGE. Rise of the Ronin is another title I'm looking forward too along with PHANTOM BLADE ZERO, and Stellar Blade (last 2 weren’t shown) and I'm always up for a new Dragon Ball game as well. Next year is looking just as good as this year with Tekken 8, FF7: Rebirth and Dragon's Dogma 2 all in the first 3 months

I'm a little optimistic after seeing them recover No Man's Sky. I like the idea they are generating only one planet. So hopefully that means tighter gameplay with larger variety of life. I expect a rough launch though.

someone in the comment section pointed out that cinematics don't get them excited anymore bc it doesn't show the actual game. which i agreed with and because of this i started noticing how many of these trailers were cinematics. and from expierence i can say cinematics can mean a few things: the game is NO WAY near complete. they can even still be in their concept phase. or the gameplays looks/is horrible. or the trailer is way more exciting then the actual gameplay. and for that reason i never really get excited by trailers.

It has happened to me several times. I think they're losing the path, they all go for the same theme and there's no innovation. For example, this year the theme is space shooter and there you go, every game is about that. Even though, I really enjoyed Elphelt's reveal and maybe the new Budokai a little... But that's it

I think my single biggest gripe are so many games are using that stylized "simplified" 3D / cartoon look. I just never have liked that, I get that they think it will age better than going for realism, but doesn't change my opinion.

I mean if you're talking about things that will never happen like Kojima working with Konami again then let's hope for a proper new MGS game. I'm beginning to think that Kojima was a one hit wonder at this point. Jordan Peele being involved kills any interest for me personally about OD. Some nonsensical Kojima silliness, this time with some white guilt thrown in for good measure!
