I feel for the people who watch this who aren't native to these islands, some of the panelists have such strong accents, I imagine unless you're from here originally it's kinda hard to understand sometimes.

@@demonclownbabyI'm also American and can understand their accents fairly well. Though I have to pay close attention to the Scottish accents and some of the Irish. Welsh is easy to understand if I listen to the comedians enough times. English accents I have zero problems with, no matter which part of England they are from. It's some of things they talk about that I have no idea what they are referring to because we don't say them here.

A Finn here and I understand everything perfectly. ☺️ I have watched so much British TV and movies since I was very little that my brain is at least half British by now.

My grandad was in his 100s when i was 14, and he was in good health too. His lung collapsed csuse he was a cigar smoker, doctors got the whole family together "hes an old man, this is bound to kill him be prepared" yet he was out of the hospital within 2 weeks, and doctors said he recovered like a 20 year old (though that strikes me as hyperbole). Anyway Lees story not being believed annoyed me a little as its not only feasible it actually happens to people!

My paternal grandfather would have been 76 when I was born if he hadn't died of pneumonia. He was 62 when he died, my father was 8 at the time.

It's done intentionally to test his quick wit. That's why his cards always have something outlandish on them. At times, David will laugh when he hears the initial story as he knows he's in for a treat watching Lee try to make it believable

Most of the regulars are going to be a lie. They've been doing this for 18 years now they aren't going to have that many interesting true anecdotes left.
