Okay, so it seems a lot of you are confused on what the longest play is. 1.) These are only regular season games. 2.) extra point attempts don't count as scrimmage plays, so those are excluded. 3.) Yes, I know I made a typo on the Giants' play

So, here is the reasoning behind the supposed "typo" in the video. the Giants had a huge NFL conference last December discussing the possibility of an NFL merger between them and the Eagles. The main cause of the conflict was that the Jets were bringing in the majority of the revenue and the Giants were losing sales. Philadelphia's attendance was declining as well, and the two NFL owners got together to discuss a merger, very similar to the "Steegles" in the 40's. The state of the topic has been generally uncovered by the press since the media thought it was so unlikely, but there is some progress happening in the operation, and it has a legit possibility. No, Berry's play was 0 yards. 2-pt returns don't actually count as yards. They don't show up in return stats. A play's yards has to count to be the longest.
