in my theory when every one was trapped in the soul stone and smart hulk snapped his fingers around that time my guess is that it opened a way for dr strange to get his powers back it set them back to the infinity war fight to where he still had his ring so he makes a spell to where it opens a portal where everyone was stuck at so they can walk in the battle field this movie was smart as fuck defeat old thanos before he becomes to powerful in the future problem solved
