I feel that Mario doing the forward aerial at the end of the movie with Luigi against bowser was simply cinema, this is why the Mario movie is my favorite Isekai

The movie was so good. Spoiler: The forward aerial during the parkour scene made me so happy. So many Easter eggs I loved it.

One easter egg I found was that when they went into that little secret room with the pipe in it, a sign was lit up by their flashlight in the background at said level 1-2 at the first bit of the movie when they fell down the sewer.

they forgot to put "thank u so much for watching my film" at the end, truely a missed opportunity.

So this is why the Mario movie is doing well.

Tbh, Bowser has been characterized in stuff like the Paper Mario or Mario & Luigi games (also in the sports games a little I think?) in a similar way to how he is in the movie, so it's not like Jack Black's portrayal of him is a new take on the character. He's still incredible though, as is the song.

Best opening to a video I’ve ever seen in my life, I can’t stop laughing it’s so good

I ended up seeing it twice and really enjoyed it. [SPOILER WARNING] one of my favorite little Easter eggs was the game and watch construction signs and when Mario and Luigi run through the construction site, it is level 1-1 of the original Mario Bros.

This Movie has such cool Music....it's really iconic factor for me. On the Rainbow Road you have like the Rainbow Road Track from the SNES Mario Kart, and in the Donkey Kong village you have Mario Kart 8 Music in the kart building thingy. The credits actually use Gusty Garden Galaxy from Galaxy 1 - and SO MUCH MORE COOL MUSIC!

I almost choked on minute 27:20 when the girl asked for a photo 😂

"You forgot to play as Yoshi, Diddy Kong & Piranha Plant, who are all also in the movie!" Ok, I know they're just background characters, but wouldn't it been kinda funny to see him also cosplay as either of them.

A lot of the things he liked and disliked about the film are what a lot of people are starting to hate about animated films. Having a live action cast doing voice work usually results in them not playing characters, but a version of themselves, so we end up with people talking about how good Bowser and Donkey Kong are, for instance, when they're really talking about the actors, not the characters. We need more films voiced by voice artists, not general celebrity actors who may or may not have the ability to deliver (looking at you, Lion King cast).

I have to know officially now if Spike is really based on Hungrybox. WE NEED OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION.

Some Easter eggs I found Spike is the boss of Wrecking Crew, the company Mario and Luigi worked for previously. Wrecking Crew is also Mario's second videogame, iirc. Charles Martinette voices Giuseppe, the man playing the "Jump Man" arcade game at the pizzeria Mario is playing Kid Icarus on the NES console and in his room there is a Starfox Fighter jet on top of the TV, and an F-Zero poster above his bed, along with other posters of NES sports games, I believe There is a Crazy Cap shop in the mushroom Kingdom, along with an Antiques shop (which I believe is the name of accessory stores in the M&L RPG games) selling little NES enemy sprite statuettes T
