@@thecupofbrew7955 nah Skip has never once done anything to indicate that he wasn't serious and it's been over 20 years. Solz says when he's trolling or very clearly sounds like he's trolling all of the time.
Same tbh. I used to hate Lebron religiously but after his 2018 run I remember watching him all alone against the Warriors with Durant and I pondered how insanely good this man must be to warrant the Warriors existing just to keep him from winning. I’ve been a fan since.
@@aekaralagonisi it's crazy people say that bron started super teams with the heat considering the Celtics also existed to stop bron 😭 bro had the Celtics and warriors
@@yoridetth856 the Boston super team is way different. All those guys were at the end of their primes or no longer in their primes. LeBron was his physical best in Miami, D Wade had a finals MVP level performance in 2011. There's no way in hell you can say ANYONE on the 08 Celtics was at their best they had ever been that year.
bron being top 1 scorer in both regular season and playoffs while being 2nd in assist in playoffs and top 5 regular season + all those accolades no way skip is serious LMAO
@@Ayyshaddy bruh if he literally had a jump shot early on he would've single handedly beaten the big 3 Celtics shut up bro literally could have had 7 rings easily, he wins in 2015 too with ease and should have won in either 2014 if their team was healthy, he's just been mad unlucky. Imagine if Shaq just suddenly became much worse in their rings when with Kobe people would be making excuses still. He's just unlucky and that's what it takes for teams to win rings, luck and skill and a great team. It's literally just a mj LeBron conversation, at this point you should just have them at the same level, noones close to them
Lebron is my goat.. i have seen mjs videos and his sheer dominance but lebrons playstyle reflects with me… him being always there to support his teammates always going for chase down blocks.. majorly assisting and playing the right way instead of chucking shots when none are falling.. i love him fr that
18:06 2018. Proved me wrong TWICE that playoffs against Toronto and again against Boston and I’ve been a big fan of his ever since. Also at that point he had made EIGHT finals in a row which is just ridiculous.
I feel like Skip Bayless over the years is why I'm a pretty big Lebron fan. His unmatched hating and egregious takes highlight how amazing Lebron is for average basketball fan watching who's seen Lebron play. A basic eye test and a google search of his stats quickly leads to "yo is this guy tripping balls? How the fuck can he say those things so genuinely and with a straight face?!?!?!".
You'll probably never see another team comeback down 3-1 in the finals again. And the fact that it was against a 73 win dynasty as well. There was no way he couldn't be top 2 after that.
I forgot about LeAlfred James ahahah say what you want about Skip but holy shit he's entertaining lmao. Edit: Pre sure Skip talking about LBJ carrying the Lakers was 2019 or at least it was when we had Zo, Kuz and BI.
Skip saying that Bron shouldn’t be 1st Ballot by NFL/MLB standards is crazy when you remember that the 77th all time rusher with only 6 seasons in the NFL has a gold jacket
7:15 Wale been on FT prolly more than 99% of non-staff members lol particularly back then. He didn’t get his the First Take them song nod for nothing 😂.
I can verbally breakdown every aspect to why Lebron is the goat. He became the goat after the 3-1 series with golden state….. everything after is extra
I think that it became this year where I realized that I'd rather have Lebron as my GOAT than Jordan. He was top 2 after 2018, but what did me in was the realization that Lebron was never going to have the one flaw that Jordan had. Lebron is never going to have a Wizards stint. The one issue with Jordan's career was the amount of unnecessary risks he always took. Like in defense it was the surprise double teams which work one normal players, but were massive risks when guarding Magic in the Finals. It's the laundry list of cruelty towards teammates. It's the ditching the sport to play baseball for two years. On a much much smaller note it's the weird "bad pizza" risk he took on the finals which led to a flu game (Yes, it's impressive, but it could have easily cost his team the finals). It's the Wizards stint which needs to be paired with how he probably destroyed Kwame Brown's career. Obviously he's top 2 at worst, but all of the unnecessary risks and gambles throughout his career that either dissapated through luck or the sheer weight of his talent are just not things that Lebron is ever going to have on his record, and I think when the goat race is that close, it's the little things that really just end up mattering. Lebron is probably going to have a Tim Duncan-esque end to his career, and that's the difference to me 2011 and all.
18:26 I'll have to disagree because every superstar in NBA history had an all star player/nba all team caliber player on their team. Having those pieces around them have led them to make deep playoff runs or even championships, lebron ain't the only one to suffer the same fate.
The fact that Lebron is GOAT convo eith MJ shoes his greatness. The fact that Lebron won the NBA finals on 3 different teams is not spoken about enough.
The thing is ppl think MJ won those six rings alone 🤦🤦🤦when it was a team effort and when they say jordan is better cause he has 6 rings and i mention bill russell has 11 they say it doesnt work that way ...contradicting themselves... LBJ haters
15:06 Skip is the Goat for this 😂😂. The face he makes beforehand says it all. Best troll debater in tv history. He actually starts to make arguments on why an almost 60 year old jordan beats prime lebron.
On his 6th straight finals appearance when he beat the 73-9 warriors he became top two for me. After breaking Kareem’s “unbreakable record” he became tied with Jordan.
