I think if he didn't turn his good deeds into almost clickbaity videos, no one would even have it in the back of their minds how awful it is that stuff like getting cataract surgeries and hearing aids is too expensive for the average person

@@firepuppies4086​​⁠​⁠The criticism isn't that paying for a hundred eye surgeries is somehow evil & anyone who says that's the issue is just plain not a serious person The criticism is that the guy could be using his gigantic platform to organize massive events bringing together millions to collectively demand radical fundamental change so that we can actually start doing the hard work of addressing the root causes of these horrific problems & build a system where people aren't forced to go without things like basic necessities & desperately needed medical treatments just because they're poor But instead he just kind of shops around until he finds a small group of disadvantaged people he can exploit, farts out a few checks as an investment into his own brand, writes all that money off on his taxes, then kicks back & waits as tons of clout & revenue roll in RU-vid gets mountains of cash from huge corporations, who in turn get a gigantic audience for their products, & hundreds of millions of viewers get to feel like "somebody out there is finally doing something" as all of our lives keep slowly getting worse & worse as if we're all lobsters in a pot waiting for the water to boil us alive without any of us ever realizing it That's the criticism, & until we can start having an honest discussion about it-instead of pretending that anyone who criticizes the guy is just an idiot who hates it when people have their blindness cured-shit is just gonna keep getting progressively worse for all of us who aren't lucky enough to be sitting up there at the top of the socioeconomic food chain with MrBeast

@@ythegameritaisthebestFrom what I can tell, some are just bothered by the clout-chasing aspect of it. The "look at how selfless & humble a person I am" part of things when you can notice aspects and factors to him that aren't as pure as he makes himself out to be. Such as how he'll humble brag when any bit of criticism comes his way he responds to. Basically, he's not a saint but tries his best to control the narrative that he is. That said, that's only some and there are plenty who are also envious assholes or just hates. Regardless, there's more nuance to it than "MrBeast good" or "MrBeast bad." My opinion, I don't actually care about him as an individual in one way or another, but I think what he does is positive and a better use of time than what many others do for attention.

Basically not one, I can say that exporting content to Brazil is not even considered an offense to Brazilians, this has already been completely normalized, I have to say that it is not normally a 100% copy of the videos, but no one pretends that there is not someone in another country doing the same thing in a video. And if there isn't, it's only a matter of time before someone copies the video and translates it into English too.
