It’s demeaned with Superman. So you can’t really say anything there. With Oliver it’s different because he litteraly came back from an island and then the arrow sprouted and now Oliver is more tough. It always annoyed me but still makes somewhat sense remembering that he was a snotty rich kid before.

I know right. The entire Season Malcom gets painted as this evil psycho and he kinda is but you can see in those two whispered words how much he feels when he discovers that the enemy he's been fighting and almost killed multiple times is the Boy who he watched grow up beside his son, probably cared about him as much as he did his own son. And now he has to kill him to further his own goals. John Barrowman is the best thing about this show.
