Might as well rank every twisted metal character/vehicle from worst to best

This franchise has such a niche audience nowadays, given that we haven't gotten a new entry in over a decade, so thanks a bunch for giving this series the attention it deserves.

I think the “Zorko Bros Scrap and Salvage” name is a reference to Randy Zorko who was a prominent member of the development team

Good video, happily surprised to see Small Brawl levels making it to #3. Piecemeal was an incomplete boss, we ran out of time to finish him or the level as designed. This is evident by the fact he can't use Sweet tooth's special.

I would love to see a vehicle ranking, basing it on their stats, specials, and how well their characters fit their vehicles and the game they're in. Always great to see new content from you though, I'd be happy with anything!

I will never get tired of hearing about Twisted Metal. I grew up with it. It was part of my childhood and it's something I hold very near and dear to me. To hear it still gets talked about makes me smile. I miss Twisted metal so much. I didn't know this but the creator of Twisted Metal, David Jaffe is the creator of God of War. I wish Sony would bring back twisted metal.

To add a cherry on top of Paris in TM2, I always liked the addition of the emergency siren to the soundtrack. It conjures images to my mind of somewhere in the distance, another group of Twisted Metal contestants just caused a horrendous accident of some kind. The only indication on your end being the distant, echoing sirens of the Paris police and EMTs rushing to the scene. Honestly, gives me chills as much as it rocks my socks.

I don't even care about this series that much, nor have I played any of them, but I am addicted to these ranking videos

Wish they’d make Twisted Metal: Black 2… I really do love the grisly, grimdark, macabre aesthetic.

An hour long TBP video is one of the best ways to end a week, for sure. I don't really agree with you on some TM4 levels, but I understand where you're coming from. I enjoy TM4 a lot, it's my guilty pleasure and one of my favorite TM games, because it gives you more of a methodical and tactical approach to the gameplay, which a lot of people don't like (but I do), and the variety of weapons makes it feel really confusing and bloated at first, but it gets more enjoyable when you figure it out. I never made an assumption of TM4 big levels feeling empty, mostly because they give you needed space to run away to when you are out of health, energy, turbo and/or ammo. What makes it feel even emptier though is the fact that AI drivers come in waves, when you are competing against only 3 players at the time (I guess it's a PS1 limitation). The Sweet Tooth boss fight can get very frustrating, because you have to keep a lot of energy with you to teleport away (Up, Up, Down, Down) when he uses his Special attack: "Henchmen", or just drive away as fast as you can in general, while making sure you keep him away from any health and/or weapon pickups, basically scorched earth AF. For me specifically, I absolutely hate levels that are either small, too open or a lot of enemies crammed into it, because I usually pick vehicles with less armor and more speed, and I get easily killed by enemies who either are just too close to me or happen to have a bunch of homing rockets on board. Great video, as always!

I was listening to this while working and as you were talking about #2 I thought, "Did I miss him talking about [the level that ended up being #1]?" Probably a good sign that it was ranked well considering I haven't played the games for at least 15 years.

Always loved Thrills and Spills in Twisted Metal 2012, so much to explore and destroy!! You can wreck the Ferris wheel much like the suburbs in Twisted Metal Black

Man the only game I had was twisted metal 4 and I have such fond memories of the maps, especially construction yard, it was fun to watch you tear them apart 😂

Wonderful video as always, your Twisted Metal content is always a joy to watch. As for a video suggestion I wouldn't mind a special weapons ranking from best to worst, kind of thing that you can judge not just from the weapon's damage or utility but also it's theming, how well it suits its vehicle/driver.

This is the quality content I come here for! Twisted Metal was a huge part of my formative years so I love everything you make to cover it. I don't know where else there is to go from here, but I hope you continue finding new ways and different topics to keep on talking about one of my all time favorite gaming series. For future ranked list ideas, the obvious suggestion is for every vehicle from every game, but maybe also every Special weapon from every game too?

The dislike for TM4 is pain, it's easily my second favorite in the series. Also if you hyperspace from Sweet Tooth's special it mostly negates it since it has to seek you out. Still love your videos tho

Amazing list man love that this community is still a thing would like to see a video that also covered singletracs games similar to twisted metal like rogue trip and critical depth because they aren’t well known and the later I find extremely interesting as lots of the content is hard to find.

I think what made Amazon Fire Walk a perfect level was that it had all the elements of what a good twisted metal level and blended it in a way that feels like the benchmark of what twisted metal levels should do. Space that isn't too big, the right amount of weapon drops and opponents, good secrets sprinkled around, a gimmick that enhances the level, and, if you want to put a boss in it, a boss that puts your skills to the test without it being frustrating.

This video is amazing, the effort you put into Twisted Metal content is really appeciated. Note: in Twisted Metal Head-On, you can play in the multi-player levels (or death matches as they were called in the game) in single player mode, and with 5 opponents instead of 1 expect a lot of fun chaos.

DON'T THINK THAT I DIDN'T CATCH THAT IRON MAIDEN REFERENCE!🤘! Describing Drive In I'm pretty sure you quoting The Mercenary (a great song on my personal fav album): "No where to run, no where to hide, you've got to kill to stay alive." I know it's a common saying but I ALSO know you're a huge Maiden fan, so that's my guess. Great vid dude as always and thanks for sharing the TM love!

Dropping cars from the crane onto the conveyer belts so they'd get pulled into the flamethrowers, or dropping onto the exploding barrels is peak childhood memories.

as someone who still plays black online at times, i think making the multiplayer only maps last kinda sucks to here but also understandable.

(finally got to watch the video) Hmmm... My favorite TM maps? TM2: Amazonia TM3: Calypso's Blimp TM4: Amazonia - 3000 TMBlack: Snowy Pass & Drive-in Theater TMHead-On: Greece DeathMatch (is just the cruise ship as you would like) TMBLACK 2: Carnival ... I think you should review the DM maps from TM Head-on; they're dynamically different from their standard counterparts. (yes it means that you have to complete the respective bonus areas)

13:38 - The only thing I can think of that gets you out of Sweet Tooth's special from Twisted Metal 4 is the Hyperspace code. If you don't know what it does or didn't know it existed, that's fair. Because it's new in Twisted Metal 4, and is only really useful to get out of specials that grab you like Moon Buggy and Sweet Tooth, or save yourself from falling off the map in stages like Oil Rig. Basically, its a button combo that teleports you to a random part of the map that isn't over a pit, iirc. Either way, I guess you could use your energy to use the shield, but the game is pretty tough when it expects you to know all of the codes for special attacks, that are only shown in the manual, to get out of a single special attack. Either way, it drains a good portion of your energy, which could have been used with other useful codes, particularly freeze and rear attack, which are broken for their own separate reasons in TM4.

Love this. The TM series growing up was the most fun I ever had playing a video game. Im sure you made the connection between Amazonia 3000 BC in TM4 and TM2. The platform you teleport to has the same sweet tooth head carved into the stone… thats an interesting easter egg that I think strengthens the argument of calypso being an inter dimensional being. Cant wait to see more!

Having played Twisted Metal games since late 1995 when I was a kid I have to say I really really appreciate the depth of knowledge and amount of effort needed to make a video such as this. I totally agree with you on your rankings and also am pleasantly surprised that your ranking for small brawl levels are as high as they are. For me Twisted Metal 2 will always be the best game in the series and I have played them all except the Online versions. I have many fun and fond memories of playing TM2 with my cousins, friends and my brother growing up, sometimes in large groups sharing the controllers and something in small groups just hanging out. I still remember who was each persons favorite player, where they liked to hide and how they fought and it will always be a fond memory. I will also always remember the first time I beat the game and was awed by the hilarious and rather dark humor that was captured so well in a very 90s look animated comic book style. I still have many of the games and play them from time to time almost 30 years later. TM2 will always be the greatest one to me and I wish 3 and 4 hadn't been made the way they were but have them as well sadly.

Twisted metal and jet moto were two of my most played games as a kid! I definitely remember that level on jet Moto but never knew it was on twisted metal

Always interesting to see how someone else sees the levels. I do remember, one time while playing Twisted Metal 3, during Calypso's Blimp, I managed to get every enemy killed without destroying the generators, which I think was managed to mostly make them fall into the pit in rapid succession, causing me to have to deal with EVERY ENEMY including Primeval, and it was just the most chaotic experience I had on that level.

After hearing TBP go off on Iron Maiden and TM4 Sweet Tooth, I would honestly love if TBP made a "Every Twisted Metal Boss Ranked From Worst To Best" video

I absolutely love the effort you're putting into these Twisted Metal videos, my friend. The only exposure I had to TM before this was an old gaming magazine talking about the 2012 version, but after seeing this video and the "All endings ranked" video, I can safely say you've given me a new game series to add to my collection. Thank you a bunch for the long-form videos because without them, I wouldn't know of this badass game series. I hope your channel brings you great success, my man. Also, I have a question for ya before I go. Do you think it would be possible to be extremely specific on your wish and not get played by Calypso?

If you do more long ranking videos, the obvious choice is the vehicles (and/or bosses), you could do the drivers as a separate list too, but there might be a little overlap with the endings video or a possible vehicle video on that one

FYI you left out or missed a lot of secrets from TM3 levels... On the L.A. level you can blow up the Hollywood sign in the background and get a voice line from Calypso You can also blow up Big Ben in London for another line from Calypso You can also blow up the Sphinx face in the Egypt level, there is also a secret teleporter that will take you from the big wall tomb area to the pyramid On the hanger level after you go inside the UFO and get teleported you can land on the UFO and blow up glass dome to get a lightning powerup On the Tokyo level you can blow up the grate over the fan making it an instant kill or death if you aren't careful

Love all these Twisted Metal videos you do, would love seeing something like ranking the designs for each character that returned in multiple games. Like, what game had the best and worst designs for Sweet Tooth or Mr. Grimm

Amazing list! I dissagre with some of the choices (mostly the TM3 ones) but fully understand on why you choose them! Do one for specials next!! Some are cool, some are wack, and some are... nothing ''special" xD Good stuff!

I feel like knocking the carnival and mountain road levels down so much for having terrible bosses is unfair to them, since both of those tracks have standard death match fights in the main game so it feels like they aren't just boss arenas as opposed to the boss arenas in Black

fun fact: in the Junkyard level in Black, you can damage, possibly kill, opponents with the plane crash. i learned this trick on pure accident

I was watching this video again and a memory came flashing back at me. I thought that i played Twisted Metal when i was younger on the N64 but it turns out it was a game called Vigilante 8, this means that the first Twisted Metal game i played was Twisted Metal Black.
