@@TheRedKing Yes, after you psionically ascend you'll get a prompt for a special project telling you that the previous incomprehensible signals are now registering as psionic chatter. Upon completing it, you're informed that the ghost ship has a baby like consciousness which is overjoyed to have someone it can communicate with and it's now flying around the system playfully. Sadly there are no further interactions from there (at least that I've found) and it never registers as a thing again even if the system is overtaken by the crisis etc, not to mention what exactly it is and where it came from remains a complete mystery, but it's a nicer ending than "We found a weird thing, it remains weird" and inspired me to mount a ferocious defence against the Contingency in the system next to it to protect it from being deleted.
@@aecides3203 the game literally tells you what it is: the ghost of an artificially-created lifeform (clone or something) that escaped, killed the ship's crew, died, and possessed the ship
Yeaaaaaah but they don't necessarily have anything exciting in them and I wanted to seperate it out, i.e. Blorg's Bane is a black hole system but that's it really. I could have included the void cloud systems maybe but I figured this was enough since the same events happen in the same place each game
Since Paradox is a Swedish company, there are a few systems that are named things that are either names or a thing in Swedish! Carenvall is the last name of a developer, Sigge is a nickname for someone named Sigvard or something similar, Sjoberg is the surname Sjöberg, Enberg is also a surname, Emillind could possibly be the first and last names names Emil+Lind. I distinctly remember seeing the name Keso, which is a brand of cottage cheese here in Sweden
Helito has to be my favorite unique system in the game. I assume most people just conquer the system to get a bunch of Gaia worlds, but prefer agreeing to their offer of a free Gaia world in your capital system. This, combined with Toxic Terrmaforming and the Dimensional Portal events means you can have 5 habital planets in the Sol system, which I think is pretty cool.
Each time I’m playing with mods (including Gigas and ACOT) I build one more plant in the asteroid belt and call it Phaeton, after the theoretical planet that was destroyed to create the asteroid belt but the theory was proven to be incorrect, then I usually turn it into the Void Sphere and then the Soul World. Also when I get my hands on the “Sol X” (this is how Dacha’s gift planet is usually called) I turn it into the Maginot World hence the planet is quiet huge indeed. Tbh if I had the chance to visit my Stellaris’s party Sol system I would give away everything I had, for some reason the empire that I have played as kinda graved its place in my soul if you know what I’m talking about
Awesome are you going to cover the unique star systems ones from mods as well? Gigastructural Engineering, Planetary Diversity and it's Submods and Ancient Cache Of Technologies, to name a few. Have truly unique and awesome systems with both fun an insane histories.
I was really hoping you'd touch on the Great Wound system. If that's not a unique system, I don't know what is. Also, not vanilla but if you have the Gigastructures mod and the ability to build multiple Matter Decompressors, every single black hole in that system can support one. Defend it well, and you'll never want for minerals again.
in the hauer system it's a double reference, first the name of the gate "the Tannhäuser Gate" is from Bladerunner and the model is very similar to the Jumpgates from the X-game series ((i.e X4 - foundations and farnhams legacy)), where the gates were made by a species that is now just a psionic super entity
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion... I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time to die."
Huh, I didn't realize there was more than one ending for the tiyanki grave site. In one of my previous games, I'm pretty sure the thing inside the corpseworld didn't die.
Haven't seen the Seddom system yet, those shrouded worlds would be a nightmare in a Gigastructures game with an awakened Aeternum. Also RIP Shallash, there's currently a bug that prevents it from spawning.
You should cover the VIR astral rift, I heard it mention something about the hunters and I didn’t really read through the details or listen to the weird messages properly
It's so sad that the Militant Isolationists destroy that lone battlecruiser in the Shallash system (due to it being coded as a global enemy) shortly after the game starts, as if they wanted to erase all evidence of their wrongdoing...
if remember right in one of my play though ultima vigilis only spawn when robot crisis happens and when you take up the dig site and take the robot pop it start the crisis early
I have played this game for 4 years. I have only seen a 2/3 of this list. yet I think you missed some. there is a Black hole system with 10 black holes. there is the Crysle system with a swarm of them and a fort. There is a system with robot pops that 5 years after colonization act like the Lizard basters you have in this vid. The system with a Dragon egg planet. The oddest one was a system that ate my ships and gave random gifts back, sadly I lost that game in 30 years so I don't know how it ends.
Yeah there are others but either the name changes from game to game or like the great wound there isn't really anything worth mentioning. I.e. blorgs bane is a black hole system but has nothing special in it
I speculated back in my FE video that it fits the bill for the invasion site of an extra dimensional threat like the Unbidden, but there is nothing offical, no event or digsite
Do all these systems spawn in a galaxy when it is generated every time? I have only played the game twice and encountered two of these. (apart from the space fauna systems)
@@TheRedKing oh that meant its not unique but its rng.. I always check my save files for sanctuary 😂 I guess reliable way was using forced empire template.
Aren't these less unique? I mean i see them pretty much exactly the same in so many different galaxies. I never see that one with Zro, Alloys, and two habitable.
