The first thing you build with your new welder is a cart for your new welder. No, it won’t have laser cut side panels and look like it belongs in a body shop specializing Ferraris, but you will have designed and fabricated it yourself. Use angle iron from old bed frames. Pieces of plywood with Formica attached to one side make durable shelves, or cut yoga mat to size for a non-skid surface. A fancy welding cart teaches you how to be an assembler. A self-made welding cart teaches you how to be a welder.
Then it's fair to say that the next project is that we build our own welding table for the same reasons. Our own clamps and gig fixtures and just about everything else we need ...... Where do we draw the line ? I would surely weld up some cross braces on the legs of that table too and add a shelf of plywood with Formica still stuck to it.
@@LemonySnicket-EUC As a matter of fact there are some clever You Tube videos showing how to repurpose old table saws with their cast-iron tops as welding tables. No, they aren’t as fancy as what’s shown here, but they’re a start. Of course it is possible to carry the idea to an illogical extreme. In fact there is a You Tube video showing how to build an outfeed roller stand for a table saw. I guarantee it will not be as stable and versatile as a $20 Harbor Freight version. Most disturbing here is what appears to be unvarnished advertising for Stahlwerk products that were likely gifted to the guy who made this vid. Hand me thousands of dollars of swag and I might do the same.

After professionally welding for 30 years I need a TIG wire feeder 'cause I have carpal tunnel and the fingers won't do the hand feed. There are a lot of experienced welders who use these...
@@dpeter6396 no doubt, i had carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists and both elbows a couple years ago, after 15 years of welding. I can see a day where I may need one but learning by hand is essential imo.
I don't get what the electric solution is doing..... can someone please explain ? BTW, I realize it is removing the oxidation, but why that process instead of a wire wheel?
Ндааа, у меня дед варит 70 лет))) он не сварщик, у него нет стола.... А стол плохой))) реально без ребер жескости на столешнице))) а что прижимы так ге удобно крепятся... Заебешься каждый раз лезть под стол крутить))) такое крепление тоже может поползти.

вряд ли тебе это по карману,я смотрел на одном сайте где их продают,там ценик в евро и не хилый да к тому же в данный момент их нет,надо полагать евросоюз,мы с ними в контрах.

Увася, в любом городе есть плазмо-лазерная резка, Металл в транспортном состоянии 6 х1.5 метра, (среднестатистические данные). У многих резчиков этого металла, как гуталина , на гуталиновой фабике. Задал исходники и получил на выходе столешницу, Ножки они также сделают за бутылку))) Скобы можно отдельно купить.

Don’t do it unless is discounted. Top is very flimsy. Feet are not sturdy attached.You’ll need to upgrade it right away if you want flat surface - drop in middle is about 2 mm. Feet are 2,5 steel tubing. And the holes are not standard fit, it’s 22mm so you can’t use of the shelf tools like angles and so from local supplier.
