It’s not just that he broke it, it’s that he broke it with all the pressure of breaking the record on him. Just incredible mental and physical strength
Wow, congratulations to Worthy! Someone always fall in love with a 4.22 and he is 6 foot-ish. Don't be surprised if there are 6 to 7 WR go in the first round.
@@richardnyahoe8172is Tyreke hill so boss mode he’s not even known as a fast receiver anymore? He’s just an elite receiver now instead one of the fastest receivers in NFL?
I don’t understand what Malik Washington does not get more love? He ran sub 4.5 , had ridiculous production at Virginia. 113 catches, 1400 yards and 10 TD,s in one season and at 5’-9”” had a 62% contested catch rate. What’s not to like?
Speed honestly really doesnt matter. Agility, intelligence, and hands matter more. John Ross had the fastest time and one of the worst busts of all time. Jerry rice ran a 4.71 and kupp ran a 4.62. Fitz ran a 4.63. The eye test will always remain true. Unless they only run go routes, the straight line speed isn’t as important as changing direction like when you run routes.
That was amazing!!! Xavier Worthy just raised his stock by tying the record for this combine with a 4.22 & this is what the combine is all about!!! I got goosebumps watching that run!! Let's go!!!!
@@fredhoward8014 I know it's a good time. What I mean is he secured his position. A bad combine could have made him drop a little bit. It would not suprise me if he is selected by the Chiefs at the end of the first like DJ said.
Mark my words: Troy Franklin is the best overall receiver in this draft class, and will be a WR1/WR2 in his rookie season. He has everything you want from a receiver! Size, speed, hands, route running, footwork, and especially his versatility. There wasn’t a single defender that was able to shut him down this past season. As a dolphins fan I would love it if we drafted him, but we have a pretty solid WR core. So as a ducks fan I hope the chargers get him so Herbert has a fellow duck on the team and will have more than just Keenan Allen to rely on to make big plays 😅
@@Jp-do9ny ive never met you so how can I always compare every wide receiver to Julian. This is the first time I've talked about Julian Edelman and I wasn't talking skills wise if you knew how to read. I was talking success, career wise he can have a career similar to them. Never once met you and never once compared any receiver to Julian except for just now
He will be there. At least he should. He’s 165 pounds lighter than me lmao and he has drop issues watch the tape. If he can put on 10 pounds and fix his drops he can be good. It’s not just about the 40.
@@TheKingofKingscorona Yeah, but that's not my point. I want him on KC since I know that Reid and Mahomes can help him become something special. But there are certain GMs who will just see his 40 time and pick him because "Wide Reciever go fast!". Hence why I have my doubts.
Lol i love how they said adonai mitchell the power forward of the 2 texas receivers and he runs a 4.35 at 6’2 and then xzavier comes out and breaks the combine record lmao
What matters is the speed in full football gear. For some guys the NFL speedster you know by names it's not a big drop for most it's significant or is limited to straight line like Scott Miller. This isn't even useful test.
@@GlassTopRX7 I agree 100%. That’s why I’m more impressed with McConkey’s time than Worthy’s. McConkey’s just adds to what I’ve already seen from him. A dawg that runs some of the best routes I’ve seen, separates, great hands, great instincts and just an overall high football IQ.
I love the fact that they've been watching these guys run for like 3 days straight and 10 steps into Worthy's run they knew something was up. With that said it looks like everyone did great out there.
For everyone getting hyped over Worthy's 4.21 time, you can be a fast receiver and still be a liability (i.e. John Ross, Tyquan Thorton, Parris Campbell)
Xavier is obviously fast, but he is really tough and can actually play WR. He also was a rare bright spot a few years ago when Texas was stinking up the joint. I hope he moves up the draft board.
The fact that the Bills traded their pick to the Chiefs and they picked Xavier Worthy looooooooool basically the next Tyreek Hill. This is why they never beat the Chiefs.
