I think that 2020's update was truly a game changer, we got the new seasons, contracts, XP System, a whole new robbery that involves a balance between cops and crims wich also means PVPing, C4's that are truly useful nowadays, the northern lights and snowflakes!! for me it has been the best one so far.
I feel you were a little unfair on the 2017 winter update, while I agree that it’s bad that the big standout feature is really buggy, you can honestly say the same thing for the 2022 boss fight. The boss fight has a terrible bug where the CEO is able to kill you through the walls. The fact it’s been there the entirety of the robbery’s lifespan is flawed and makes the update pretty bad imo, as Season 13 is dull. With the train in 2017, at the very least, the developers actually patched the bug, even if it took a while. I still remember the new Season 1, grinding hard, and with 4 days remaining, double XP was granted, and I got that BMW. I was incredibly proud of myself, and learning it was the rarest vehicle, I was like a pretentious kid using that thing, although I got into some torpedo trading story where I traded the BMW, and got the Torpedo, the BMW will still hold a special place in my heart.
Part of why people say that old jailbreak was better it’s because the updates were more polished, and it feels like the developers actually listened a little bit more, as shown by patching the train, and the fact cars and cosmetics were added very rarely, which made them all the more special. Now, the fact the cars and cosmetics are added almost every update it feels dull.
You shouldn’t criticize the 2017 update considering you didn’t play at that time. Yes the train was buggy but you could’ve robbed more than 2 times for 4000 each which would easily make it the best robbery. The volt was a good vehicle. I don’t why you judged it went it went haywire in the FUTURE. The McLaren was a disappointment so I’ll give you that. But it wasn’t a trash update. + for the time of that update it was really good
It was only practical to rob it multiple times after it was fixed, since many times the train would only have 1 red car or it might not have any at all. I just think the train being so broken on launch was a huge issue, and it hasn’t turned out to be a great robbery even after it was fixed, so that’s why I think it’s the worst. The future impact of the updates was something I valued greatly, so that’s why I discussed the volt issue, but I acknowledge it was one of the stronger parts of 2017.
Back then I used to think the 2020 update was the best, but overtime i think its one of the worst ones Seasons got super boring overtime and bank truck is just a disaster to do
I get it had a lot of hype, but if I was playing at the time I would have been let down by the buggy train. Plus I started playing when the buggy train was still around and found it frustrating.
