I never understood why WWE recognises the WCW Light Heavyweight title history as part of the Cruiserweight title history when in reality and in WCW they was 2 separate titles. The first real Cruiserweight champion was Shinjiro Otani in 1996. Just as puzzling is why the current WWE Cruiserweight championship is a completely new lineage when WWE had the Cruiserweight championship active in the past.
