I have to say… I’m a week out from a breakup. 4 years together and been living together for almost 2. Basically Tyler just talking is making me get over this breakup so much faster. Or find peace easier, maybe. I feel like Tyler and I are the same person in relationships and hearing that there are men out there who want what I want and have the same kinds of feelings is legitimately is giving me a new lease on love life lol. Get a jar and fill it with lolly pops. When you get upset, suck a lolly pop until it's gone and then decide if/how you want to address the problem. It forces you to take a beat and think about the situation before reacting. Plus, you get to eat a lolly pop. lol

In relationships, you should complement each other’s lives, not complicate. It’s not always 50/50, sometimes it’s 70/30 or 90/10. Like Chris Rock said, sometimes you’re the tambourine

Gaslighting is not really just an instance. It's a methodical process of making a person doubt their belief in their reality. It's a constant attempt to make a person question if what they think is happening is really happening. The man is always late getting home from work when they have plans and he continually tells his partner that he is not late, they are being ridiculous and they never set a time, etc until the person starts to question if they had the conversation or if they are going crazy because they remember the conversation.

My husband loves flowers. And I love buying him flowers.

I agree with Kate. I like to hear the words of appreciation but i also need to see the actions too. So often someone will say 1 thing but their actions dont match up.
