Some people are like that. Reminds me of some of the kids back in highschool. There's a huge difference between being honest and being flat out rude. You don't randomly say something that you know dang well is gonna be disrespectful and try to disguise it as "being honest". Especially if they never even asked for your honesty to begin with.
