Agree with taking Chrysalis as soon as it is seen. I'll add that even if you can't play it, you should pick it to help the community.

FWIW I agree completely on both the Broodscale pick over the Devourer of Destiny and the Nightshade Dryad over Signature Slam. You're really a 4-color deck, not a 3-color deck because of the colorless cards and Nightshade Dryads are harder to come by these days. Like you said, every hand where you have one in your opener is just going to be so much better.

I think Broodscale is a may ability to prevent game locks with cards like Cathar’s Crusade

Around 46:40 i would have cycled the eldrazi to get the spawn and draw an extra card then cast the deem inferior but pauls line is correct for protection purposes. The main thought was that also unlocks the battlemage.

I think the Path of Annihilation pick was correct in your spot. The pick that kinda hurt was not taking the Kozileks Unsealing but i guess thats more hindsight over the battlemage. that card has been nothing short of amazing for me and won me many games either with insane value or endlessly annihilating them with the eldrazi ravager in a stall matchup. that combo feels disgustingly inevitable ^^

I guess that pre emptive GG was becauae you big brain locked his only swamp and his hand is just full of black spells. That was the turning point for that match too

Hey Paul ; I rarely see you talk about the synergy Nightshade Dryad - Dreadmask (because of deathtouch + trample) ; I'ld love for 17lands to publish stats of Dreadmask WR depending on the number of dryads in the deck, but from what I've played, with 2+ dryad in the deck, Dreadmask becomes a bomb

I like the dread mask. I also like the nyxborn hydra as both of those cards are nice ways to break board stalls. I don’t prioritize them very highly though

Yesterday i had a next to mono green eldrazi deck with 4 purposors, 3 drones, 2 assaults, 2 cullers, kozilek, splasing marionnete, crab and black flare xD

no, it’s not a permanent in the gy

but the back side of brideworks battle is a permanent. But I see there is a special rule that only the front side counts for affects like evolution witness so I guess the answer is technically still no

@@ThreeDogHouse yeah while it’s in the GY, hand, deck, etc the game only “sees” the front face, so whether or not the backside is a permanent doesn’t matter
