My favorite was when he thought Ray was cheating on Debra. "Didn't I teach you anything? If you got a problem with your woman, you don't go out and get another woman! Then you got two problems!"
@@godricheart4956 Monster? I'd pick a state that that had people that didn't let the news media do all of its thinking for ya. Did you live in Alabama? Then your assumptions aren't based on facts. THINK for yourself.
So many great Frank Barone moments. Peter Boyle was a riot. The episode where he tells Debra that he and she were similar because they were different from the rest of the family. And the one where he tells his sons that when you're having trouble with one woman you don't go get another one.
Sadly, Frank is right to a degree. While not everyone in that state is like that, the three counties that swing the state's national Electorate are just like that.
Yeah it had an Archie Bunker feel to it (Archie had a strong disliking to Cali as well). And California IS what Frank (and Archie for that fact) says about it. Land of freaks, hippies, fairies, heathens, artsy fartsies, hipster doofuses and Democrats
@@Etobeeshawn There are sane people there, but thanks to those three particular "True Blue" counties that swing the state in one direction every national election.. they are like the milk in a bowl of granola.. outnumbered by fruits nuts and flakes!
That Thanksgiving scene is one of my favorites. Frank was always my favorite character, especially when we find out he was a huge Jazz fan, that made him even cooler.
Another good moment is when Frank is ready to leave Ray's house and says, "Let's go, Marie, I'm hungry," and Marie says, "Feed yourself, my son needs me," and Frank says, "Aw, cut the cord."
In the "Jazz Records" episode, Ray, being the jackass that he can be sometimes, forgot to check the VOLUME! He scared the hell out of his parents for a great comedic scene IMO.
The amount of times this bloke has almost injured me through laughing, the episode where ray and frank played table tennis and he said to Marie Ooohh Ray's got a cheerleader, warn me when yer gonna do a split, is my favourite frank line
At 0:24 frank is quoting himself with the identical lines he spoke in the movie he was in called " the taxi driver". That is why the audience is laughing.
The first time I saw this show I was like 14 and it was the car through the house episode. I was cracking up and became a huge fan. 19 years and I still crack up at "I can see a house!!"
the Xmas episode is still one of my fave episodes the one at 4:05 but the best line was Debra telling Frank that he could still do the things that he wanted from that list and Frank goes see Frank Sinatra in concert? lmao best one liner IMO in that episode the way he said it sooo funny
Frank: Oh , look Ray's got a cheerleader. Warn me when you're going to do a split. And Frank : I'd rather drive off a cliff. Marie: I'll warm up the car. Another scene : Frank : If you'll excuse me I have to go stangle a woman with her own bathrobe.
Where's this line? "Come on frank, I made chocolate strawberries." -marie "There are no strawberries. I ate them all. I ate their chocolate, too. And I drank all the Booz in the mini fridge" -Frank
2:08 The most painful part of this scene is how easily it could've been a good retort. "Yeah, I'll be crying because it's your funeral." Ray's botch makes it so realistic.
Damn! You left out my favorite! "Rude is the only thing that gets through to her! HOW DO YOU THINK I GOT THE WAY I AM!? *I USED TO BE A GENTLEMAAAN!!!!!* 🤣🤣🤣🤣
gary lyons yeah I'm guessing that's why they made ray say what the hell are you talking about lol it was referring to that movie cuz he gave that speech to deniro in taxi driver. lol some people didn't get that joke you just have to pay really good attention there
Raymond: It's gonna be your tears because it's gonna be your funeral. Frank: If it's my funeral, how could I be crying??? Me: You could be crying in spirit, although they could be tears of joy. XD
There is a lady in the background, and her laugh, is the best. I don't know if they use the same people, for every show. But her laugh, just cracks me up. 😂😂
Some people might not know this, but the speech Frank gives around 40 seconds or so (about "another guy dies, people are born" etx) is a direct reference to the speech Peter Boyle gives to DeNiro in Taxi Driver
I've watched this show so many times and this is the first time I've realised that the speech that Frank gives at 0.24 is the same speech he gave to deniro in the movie taxi driver.
Ray: Debra didn’t have to be so rude to Ma? Frank: Rude is the only thing that gets to her, how do you think I got the way I am? I USED TO BE A GENTLEMAN!!!
