They could be new fans. Long time, devoted fans would know it's consistently and faithfully been the same face and voice for Alan since the begining. Some people didn't recognize the voice or face probably cause there still new to it. Lol

The most famous thing that Alan Wake was in was the oh game from 11 years back when this was happening and the face model while still the same actor had a new engine and longer hair so of course people wouldn’t realize who it is

@@_miguelithink_5636 that's awesome!! Really glad Remedy remastered the original Alan Wake to bring new fans for the game! Hopefully with Alan Wake 2 it grows even more. Still criminally underated even with the remaster out, but I'm certain it'll get bigger with the sequel. So hyped as well!!! Some of us have been waiting for a long 10 damn years, hoping for a sequel lmao. 😅😅 Would be so cool if Remedy could remaster Alan Wake's American Nightmare, but I don't think they have any plans of doing that. Was a smaller, shorter, standalone game but still fairly good. I enjoyed it. It improved in some areas compared to the original like more weapon selection, and variety of enemies. Should definitely play that one if you haven't.

Quantum break on game pass was the first remedy game I ever played, and I’m glad both Alan wake and control got added not long after I finished quantum break. I know it’s the most loosely connected and considered the black sheep of the trio but it’s also my favorite since I really respect what they tried in terms of the whole interconnected tv show, but it just didn’t feel like full commitment since the tv show felt like it was only partially connected

Here's a funny possibility: A *lot* of people have heard of Alan Wake over the years and have heard it praised a lot. So even though they haven't played it, they can still tell that this moment is hype for a lot of people, and they hype themselves on that. A new Alan Wake means that a beloved series that seemed dead isn't after all. They can hop on it too, and they might even be thinking about getting the original now that the franchise has life again.

@@jamesmiles3341 I guess it's mainly the devoted, longtime fans that have kept up with Alan Wake, and have played Alan Wake and American Nightmare more than once over the years who would recognize the voice. I've been a fan since 2011 and have played the games more than once, so the voice was ingrained in my head lol.

Alan wake 1 isn’t a horror game… the creator himself said so. This is the first actual survival horror game remedy has done.

To be fair, some of us have gone through so many fake AW2 rumours now that we no longer dared to hope, even when it seemed obvious.

Just cause some people don’t know about Alan Wake doesn’t mean the gaming community is dying. Hell I just played Alan Wake for the first time a few months ago because of this trailer. Also yeah the guy portraying Alan Wake does look like Jake Gyllenhaal

the gameplay is basic remedy shooter, but the story...I like the story, it was like I am watching a tv series
