The cox family and the cluster pluckers are my two most favorit bands they both have beautiful harmonys.

First time I heard them sing this was on Prairie Home Companion.

The Cox Family were the perfect vehicle for this beautiful and gentle ballad, with their impeccable 1993 rendition, produced & arranged by Alison Krauss. The song was penned by Dickey Lee and Allen Reynolds. Dickey Lee had some pop-chart hits, 1962-'65 and also enjoyed a successful career as a Country singer-songwriter in the 70s and 80s. Lee wrote or co-wrote many major Country hits including "She Thinks I Still Care" & "The Keeper Of The Stars"...a CMA "Song Of The Year".

my favorite cox family tune, so wonderfully sweet: featuring a fabulous mandolin solo by adam steffie. we usually think of just allison kraus' angellic voice, but here she does a tear-jerking performance on the fiddle.
