a split single crochet is a single crochet worked between the 2 legs instead of the top 2 loops, very nice. it condenses the stitch, thus condenses the size of the row but providing more stability.
FYI: This type of sweater -- working in quarters from the neck down -- is known as a raglan sweater. It is distinguished by the "quartering" of the front-back-arms, creating that 'corner' line from neck to arm.
Your need to make your physical directions more clear. I was very frustrated. I ripped it out 3x and still not right. To step by step. Plus after your make the collar you turned and never said to due that
I used a 4mm hook and a double knit yarn, but used the same stiches my pattern came out looking different. Im a beginner what could l have done wrong?? But the pattern looks beautiful though
Hello i have a quick question if i want to xhange this into making a bigger size how do i do it should i use any number in a table or what please clarify this
While making this pattern based on the written instructions, I found that the first round of the adult yoke does not match up with the number of supposed stitches: (22+16+22+16=76, not 74). Is there a corrected version or is the error on my behalf?
seems like everyone is having a hard time with the pattern. Seems that they are not able to understand you as well. I want to make this for 2 boys for christmas. I will buy the pattern if it will help me. I will follow you and decide it consistency is met. thank you. what is a split sc?
Hi there i making adult large size sweater in pattern it states for Body in est. st. pat, chain 7 (9, 7, 5, 5) (7, 5, 7, 7) for underarm, then connect the chains from the underarm to the 1st stitch of this round. Move sm. 120 (134, 148, 162, 176) (188, 204, 216, 232) Body sts. And in video its showing to continue the est pattern den when you reach near under arm just continue singel crochet for 5 stich but im confused how to increase here as its mentioned 162 body stiches and i have only 75 est stiches ro move ahead
The number of neck stitches in this video (74) doesn't match the number of stitches in the Sweater Yoke row listed in the pattern. The pattern says it should be 24 but the video says 27. I'm confused.
Hi brina i m making adult size large pullover however i m stucked with 41th row there 75 ets stich and as per the pattern i have to increase to 160 stich can you please help i how to do tha
You increase since the 1st row, every second row (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th…) adding in 4 marked places 3 stitches more = 12 additional stitches per every second row. That’s how you go from 76 stitches to bigger and bigger amount
Im a bit confused as this doesn’t match the pattern at all. In the pattern it mentions 3sts/2rows which doesn’t make sense unless I’m increasing and is a bit confusing
Here's the problem. Look at your Labels for the Brava Sport yarn. The website says 100 grams/273 yards. I purchased over 16 skiens in different colours only to notice they all say "100 grams/340 yards" 🙄 After a conversation with Marla in customer service, she says until they cycle through what's in their warehouse; the website won't reflect the change. So my question is: How many "Yards per size"? Not how many skiens
Hey Sherrie, The total yardage for all sizes are written in the notes of this video, and also on the website here: brianakdesigns.com/everyday-crochet-sweater-pattern/
@@BrianaK No. You state how many "Skiens" for each size. And as Wecrochet has their Brava Sport yarn mis labeled. Their website says 273 yds. But the label on the skien you receive is 340 yds. That's a different of 67 yds. It's misleading at best
When you begin to split the body and the sleeves, are you essentially just joining the four points where the increases were placed? I'm making the adult small version and while my number of rows and total stitch count match the pattern, I feel that if I chain where my 57th stitch lands, and connect it after skipping 47, it would look awkward. What is your advice? (:
@@cintiapollock2486 I appreciate you helping me, the written pattern is what I was following to make the adult sweater. I just got to a point where I was confused. I realize now that it's not exactly the four points that come together, but I still had to kind of make up my own counts to continue on with body. Here's hoping it turns out ok! :D
I am also at this point, where I am supposed to split the body and sleeves, and have also noticed the four corners don't match up...Do you have an update on how this went? Do I follow the pattern or should I adjust? @Briana K if you have some advice specific to where we split off for the adult M size, please let me know! Thanks!!
I had the same problem, but I realized that when you join the yarn after the chain it already counts as part of your next stitches. I made size 1 - so mine was starting with the marked stitch I count 38and chain 2. I skip 28 and join on 29, that 29 is already the first stitch of my next 36 and I chain 2 and skip28 and join on the first marked st. If you don’t do it this way, it will not come nicely together. I hope I helped a little.
I really wish I could say this was an easy pattern to follow, but parts of the written adult pattern are different enough from the child pattern that I feel like watching the video is leaving me more confused than before.
