I love that you showed us your deflated bread. We've all been there, even with tried and true recipes! I can see why your bedroom rug is your favorite. It is beautiful and your whole room looks lovely.
Robin, you look absolutely gorgeous in your wedding picture on the wall. Such a beautiful person inside and out. You can see Christ in your face. You radiate His love and glory.
Robin, I used to sell custom bedding and window coverings and another tip (besides adding an additional insert) is to use the next larger size insert. You can put the insert in a plastic bag to make fitting it in the form easier and then cut and pull the plastic bag out when finished. Hope this helps!
Excellent idea Diane! I actually decided to use the inserts from the previous trow pillows (they are slightly smaller) to fill in the space and now they are perfect - but I will remember that for the next time. Thank you!!! 😊🌻💛
There's a saying here in UK, don't bake when it is raining, something to do with atmospheric pressure or the damp . Love how your home is coming together. Thought that the young Patrick in wedding photo was so like Kyle.
Robin, I always look forward to your videos they’re always so relaxing and inspiring. As a lifelong Californian I’m so jealous of that rain girl! LOL The decor in the bedroom is lovely. That wedding picture! 💍💕 God bless you and your sweet family in your new home. Kim
Thank you Kimberly! I really wish I could share some of the rain. I know you all need it too! Have a wonderful week and God bless you and your family as well! 😊🌻💛
Yipeeeee! You hit 100,000 subscribers! You go girl!! Another great video! We’ve been using Brooklinen for 4 years now. Started with classic and now use luxury sheets and duvet . Great!
Oh Robin! Your new bedroom is so lovely and serene...I would love to sit in your little reading chair and do my devotions! And as I've remarked before, your Persian rugs are absolutely gorgeous! I enjoyed spending time with you in the kitchen. That soup [or should I say stew?] looked like the quintessential Fall meal! So rich, hearty and filling. And the lemon bread actually had me salivating; imagining the sweet tartness of it! I love all things lemon!!! We're North East in NH, and praise the LORD, the temperatures are finally starting to cool off! At this time of year, my thoughts turn to all things apple and pumpkin! Crisps, breads...everything! And finally, you have such a lovely filming style...so professional, too! Blessings to you and your family, Pam x
I live in Washington state and I make soup year round with homemade bone broth. We eat it most days for lunch. I make a big batch and freeze some. It is good for the wallet, waistline, and overall health. Your house is looking amazing! All your hard work is really paying off!
I make this soup all the time! No matter what season it is. It is excellent! Once in a while I put a can of chicken in it. Thank you for posting it again!
If the pillow inserts aren't as poofy as you'd like, consider inserting two in each pillow. I learned years ago that Pottery Barn uses two duvets to poof up their displays. So why not double pillow inserts as well? I have a collection of Pottery Barn down inserts for my pillows. They run great sales on those! And...I love watching you cook! Tea breads are my favorite to bake. So easy and satisfying! Thank you for sharing a new recipe!
@@FaithandFlour Isn't it wonderful to transition the home to using pillow covers instead of purchasing a new decorative pillow? It makes storage so easy and I think it's fun! And yes! I will try the new bread recipe! It's that time of year! 🍁🍂🍁
Your bedroom is beautiful. I prefer flat or slender pillows. My neck has been sensitive since my bust became proportionally too large in my early twenties. I'm in my early forties now. Thick pillows hurt it. I don't like crew necks or higher necklines because they choke me. We all may mistakes in the kitchen. Even chefs do. I remember when Old School Soul Food showed the cake that fell in when he tried to add the frosting while it was still too warm.
I think a framed picture at the head of the bed with complimentary colors to the throw at the end of the bed would look nice. More color. I enjoyed your bedroom makeover. Lorraine
Hi Mrs Robin😊 we don't have much of fall season here in the Caribbean but we love soup's too, love your bedroom decor, take care. have a wonderful week
Thank you Georgia! We pretty much pretend to have Fall here in Central Texas😂 - nothing close to that type of weather will arrive until Thanksgiving, but I also love some soups and the autumn traditions just the same! Have a blessed week!😊🌻💛
I love the neutral color palette with on a few splashes of color. Your bedroom looks so restful. 😴 I noticed that you are *SO CLOSE* to 100K subscribers! We’ll have to celebrate when you hit that mark!
👏Congratulations Robin on your 100k!! I’ve been watching and enjoying Faith and Flour for years. It must be a labour of love with the work that goes into putting your channel together. Thank you for sharing your family, your inspiration, cheerful motivation and delicious recipes! 💖🎉
Thank you so much Nadia! I have enjoyed getting to know you and appreciate all of your love, encouragement and support over these last few years. I couldn't have reached this milestone without you!😊🌻💛
It is so tranquil looking. I also prefer neutrals, but I will admit I am not a fan of grey!!😊 So the soft pink, white and creams are so much more appealing to me. The double mirrors are a great idea. And I agree with comments I have seen double the inserts. Thank you for sharing your ideas, life and home with us.
Hi Robin. I new to your channel and I enjoyed it. It is the most calming and motivational video. You are very inspiring to me that is possible to conquer the daily tasks and get organized. I still working in that area because when life happens I have a bit of a challenge. Dealing also with anxiety and depression doesn’t help either. Also as a fellow Jesus follower (and times I slip off the path) I do know He is there patiently waiting for me with His hand outstretched! Thank God for His Grace!👍🏻🙏❤️🌻❤️
Robin is this a coincidence? I am almost 80 so I cook the easy way now. I use Bisquick for pancakes and the last time I made them they did not rise at all, so today I added some baking powder and they were fine. Now with your experience too, it is a mystery. Donna
So funny Donna! My grandmother said that one should not bake on a rainy day - maybe that's the problem? 🤷♀️ Anyway, I don't mind eating my mistakes - then I have a good excuse to try again! 😊🌻💛
Thank you Maureen! I wish I could send some rain your way. Just a few days of rain does so much to restore everything damaged in the drought. God bless!😊🌻💛
I live in Vermont and fall weather is approaching soon. I enjoy making butternut squash soup and apple crisp! Thanks again Robing for another great video! Enjoy your day!
Robin, I really like the new decor ideas and bedding in your bedroom suite. I think a large piece of framed art above the bed would look awesome. I am trying more plant based meals so thank you for this recipe. Chili and beef stew are what I crave in the Fall season. Thank you for sharing. Melissa 🌼
Thank you Melissa! I like that idea and will be looking out for just the right piece. I love Chili too and look forward to those cozy days ahead. Have a blessed week!😊🌻💛
Dear Robin Thank You for sharing this video. You’re bedroom has turned out very Lovely. And for sharing your deflated bread. I had too chuckle. And for seeing that spider it would be a deal breaker for me as I am terrified of any size spider. But I truly enjoy each of your videos. God Bless See You next Sunday🍁
Thank you Janice! If you told me before we moved to Texas about the spiders I would have run the other way - but they are actually very shy and NEVER come in the house, so we can coexist as long as that remains to hold true! 😂💛
Oh Robin! Your bedroom is sooooo beautiful! I love the soft colors and the mirrors above the nightstands are so perfect! Don’t think I could handle Texas tarantulas tho. Gave me goosebumps. The deer are beautiful. We have had deer, moose, foxes, coyotes and a baby bear as our backyard friends lately here in Breckenridge Colorado. The aspens have a slight touch of yellow so we are beginning fall soon. Soups are my go to fall and winter foods! Glad you are safe from heavy rains. Take care and have a blessed week!
Thank you Shari! I'm not a big fan of spiders either - I like to keep my distance and film with a big Zoom lens! 😂 Colorado is so beautiful this time of year. We don't get much of a Fall here in Central Texas, but I still love soups and all of the autumn traditions. Have a blessed week and enjoy all of the amazing wildlife! 😊🌻💛
I love Colorado and since I am in Texas too I have areas I can go to to see changing leaves up in Cloudcroft, New Mexico and it's a little over an hour away so it's a fun trip to take so it's possible to see some even when we don't live too close to it. We have some changing leaves here in El Paso, Texas, but not too many. Our temperatures haven't been too hot lately and they are up a bit before it goes back down with rain this next week, yeah! I love rain except for the bugs and weeds, oh well! Thanks for sharing you're experience and I hope you enjoy Colorado it's such a beautiful State my family lives in Evergreen, Fort Collins, and Loveland, Colorado.
@@heatherlavender8236 i have a sister in Estes park and a nephew in Loveland. Colorado is a great place for all of the seasons, but where we are fall and spring are a bit short in my book! Have a blessed week!
@@sharisstampinstudio9286 I have been there when we drive to skiing my brother loved to ski. Yeah I understand it turns cold sooner there since it's higher up than Denver and the plains of Colorado, we are the opposite since we are a desert so we love our spring and fall much better than our summers since it goes all the way to 110 many times. I have gone from trying to plant a garden from 8000 feet to only 490 feet so some plants don't even grow here in the summer, but we can grow some plants the rest of the year even in the winter since it's pretty mild as long as I cover it. Thanks for answering me back and it's neat when someone lives near my family and many blessings!
I remember asking you a few months ago if you worked with Brooklinen because I was buying my mom new bedding and you said you weren’t. Since then, looks like this has come to fruition. So great! Will use your code when I buy new bedding for us :)
I remember that Rebecca! I've always heard such good things about them and was so happy to discover that it's all true! I hope you enjoy your new bedding also!😊🌻💛
Some of our trees are turning somewhat. I love fall and the colors, pumpkins, mums. Here in northern Vermont we have had a hot humid summer. I am looking forward to cooler weather and making homemade soup. Love your bedroom makeover.
Your bedroom turned out beautiful. I love calm, peaceful bedrooms. Thank you for more recipes. I am always looking for new ideas. Come fall, I do gravitate toward soups and casseroles. I love the cozy meals when the weather finally cools. Have a good week, Robin!
Something I just remembered……my mom always cautioned me to not slam the oven door when checking on the doneness of a cake or sweet bread because it would cause it to fall. Same with running around the kitchen or slamming the back door. Donna
My mom had said yiu had to be careful about running around back when the ovens were free-standing, but now that they're built-in, it no longer applies.
Robin, your bedroom looks just beautiful! So serene and peaceful. You did a beautiful job with the colors and those round mirrors look like port holes on a ship. Gives your room a deluxe suite feel! I can't wait to try that lemon bread. We love anything lemon flavored. It's never too early to start with autumn flavors in my opinion. Yesterday I made a delicious pumpkin spice coffee creamer. It was very easy, and delicious, and because I made it myself I know exactly what is in it. I hope that cool breezes will be coming your way soon. Have a great week!
Thank you Elise! Pumpkin spice coffee creamer sounds so good. It will be a while before any more autumn like weather comes to Texas, but I still look forward to all of those fall traditions so much! Have a blessed week!😊🌻💛
Our fall favorites include pumpkin muffins with chocolate chips, apple crisp, chili, and pot roast with lots of roasted root vegetables and butternut squash . It’s still hot here in NJ so we’re still grilling and making salads. Thanks for the soup recipe, I’ll have to try it! God bless!
I love the colors in your bedroom rug. Everything looks so soft and relaxing. The new headboard is lovely. Thanks for sharing the soup recipe. I will have to try it!
I love your room, it’s so peaceful. I also love Brook Linen sheets. I get the ones that sleep cooler, they are like butter. I really wish makers of duvets would put a tie in the top center. Mine always seem to sag there. Oh and that rug is to die for. Blessings
Thank you Betty! It was so hard to choose which set to go with - I might try the ones you have next time! A middle tie would be a great idea - super smart!!! 😊🌻💛
I love the reading chair in your bedroom. Your new home is so calm. I'm currently trying to work through Decluttering my home, but what with illness and extreme heat, its going slowly. But ill get there in my own time. Sateen bedding is just gorgeous! Most of my bedding is 400 thread count supima cotton sateen, and it's luxurious, but not stiff straight away.
I live in the SC Lowcountry so we do not experience fall weather until closer to Thanksgiving but this is the time of year I start craving soups, chili and pumpkin bread! Thank you for sharing the recipes.
Same for here in central Texas Lisa! But I'm with you - I enjoy all of the things that go with Fall even if the weather won't cooperate! Have a wonderful week and God bless!😊🌻💛
Beautiful wedding picture 😊You’ll look so young . Your youngest son looks just like his dad on that picture😊. You just lightened up your bedroom so much. The headboard and mirrors are gorgeous🌸 ! Wood would really look good also paired with that headboard. Love it😊
Love that new bedroom decor, its so calm and serene looking. Here in South Australia we are looking forward to spring and some warmer weather. Cold weather makes me crave a good hearty pumpkin soup with herb and potato bread but once it warms up around here it’ll be bbq time with big family get togethers . Loved this video, bless you and your lovely family 🥰
Your headboard for your bed is beautiful!!!! Your room looks so comfy and designer!!!! When I saw your soup, I knew that I needed to give it a try!!!! Have a beautiful week!!!!
Robin you look so pretty today your hair is getting so long. The new house is coming together so nicely. I love the channel I always learn something. Thanks Blessings to you and the family.
Another beautiful video! Living in New England (Maine), my favorite time of year is when summer turns to autumn and I always welcome it with soup just about every Sunday. I will have to try this recipe. Thank you for sharing!
Your bedroom is lovely. The lemon bread looks delicious. In the written recipe it has preheat oven to 305. I'm thinking it was meant to be 350. I'm going to make this bread the next time I bake a sweet treat. Have a wonderful day.
Happy Monday, Robin! I love what you've done with your Master Bedroom. I am ALL OUT of decorating my homes 🤣, so I derive pleasure vicariously by watching others decorate or redecorate their own spaces. I couldn't agree more with your comment about exceptional quality sheets. My company provided me with some exceptionally soft sheets and pillowcases that only get softer as you wash them. I live 11 months out of a year in The Middle East, so curries are offered A PLENTY with the culinary influences of the Indians and Sri Lankans and Pakistanies who have migrated to this Region and now call it home. Well, being in The Middle East, there's basically two seasons: 1). Hot; and 2).🔥...🤣😂🤣 Since I've lived here now over 9 years, my body has acclimated to the climate, so don't crave the usual foods that accompany the changing seasons, but I do find myself missing foods of America, especially the dishes my Mother prepared when I was growing up. When I REALLY GET DESPERATE, I'll prepare them myself like macaroni & cheese, cabbage with okra, bread stuffing, egg potato salad, and fried fish 🤣. Thanks for this upload and have a great balance to your week.
Thank you Veronica! I adore any type of curry, so I would love that too! I know what you mean - Hot & Hotter! It isn't quite that bad here in Texas, but pretty close! Have a lovely start to your week and God bless!😊🌻💛
You could be cooking or baking a dish a zillion times and one day it says not today and just would not cooperate . I have been there. Although it was a little bit sunken it still looked quite nice.
Dear Robin, I have made your mom's recipes of egg omelet with apple n cinnamon n the fish recipe from the same vlog.. we just loved it.. it turned out amazing.. thanks a lot!
I really enjoyed watching this week's video. You always inspire me, Robin (I hope you aren't tired of me saying that 😊). The soup looks delicious but I probably won't make it because it has just about everything in it that my husband dislikes (the sun-roasted tomatoes would be first on that list); however, I am going to make your lemon loaf. He LOVES lemon and it looks delicious! As a child growing up, whenever something didn't look perfect on my plate, my Mother would say, "Your stomach won't notice the difference". You asked about Fall...here where I live in Canada, it's hard to predict when Fall will arrive. Sometimes we have the heat and humidity right into mid-October and other times, like right now, we have moderately warm, dry temperatures and cooler nights. It makes it great for sleeping! Either way, I personally think that the period from September 1st until January 1st should be its own season 😄. Definitely my favourite time of the year! Have a great week!
Thank you Joan! I never get tired of your thoughtful comments and encouragement - you always make my day! I hope you'll give the lemon bread a try, that it looks and tastes wonderful and that your husbands loves it! Enjoy the last days of summer and the beginning of your favorite time of year. Feel free to send some of those cooler temperatures our way anytime! God bless!😊🌻💛
Your bedroom is beautiful. My only suggestion would be to paint the wall behind the bed a bit of a darker color. Your lovely new headboard doesn't show up since the current paint color is about the same color as the headboard -- at least on camera. An accent wall would highlight it. The soup and lemon bread look delicious!
Hi Robin! Sheri here! I thoroughly enjoyed today’s video! I need to find a way to round up all of your delicious recipes! I love the way you keep your favorites in notebooks for ease of finding them. Your new bedroom decor looks fantastic too! I’m enjoying hearing all of your downsizing and home remodeling journey as we have been doing that over the last year, too, so it’s very inspiring! 🙂
Hi Robin, while watching the intro, I noticed the rain running off the roof. I wonder if you've considered putting rain gutters up with downspouts into a barrel to catch the rain water. It is a great way to get water for plants, and also stops the soil from eroding around the foundation of the house. Just a thought. Have a great week.
That's a great idea Kathy and we are considering it. We have gutters everywhere except that portion of the roof, but rain barrels are something that I think would be a great investment. Have a wonderful week and God bless!😊🌻💛
Hi Robin, I always start making recipes with pumpkin in them for fall, to me they go together. Also soup and stews just like you said. I grew up in Austin and now live in Northern California. I remember the heat of Texas well, we have it here but not the rain. Glad you’re getting a break from the heat even if it’s temporary. We have more winter than Austin had when I grew up but that is nice. I enjoy your channel! Thank you ❤
Hello Robin always love your videos. You made your bedroom look so beautiful and cosy. As usual your recipes look so delicious. I hope you your family and Austin are all well. Bye for now beautiful lady 🇦🇺🦘🐶🌹❤️💜
Hi Robin, Your bedroom looks so serene and peaceful. Beautiful soft colors. The recipes look delicious. Lentil soup is one of my family favorites and lemon bread sounds delightful with a cuppa tea. Thanks for the fun video. xoxo, Karen
Robin, thanks so much for the recipes and I love how your main bedroom looks, beautiful! Also, good job on how homey you are making your lovely new home. Great inspiration! Have a wonderful week!
Loved the new items for your bedroom, goes perfect with the beautiful rug. Don't worry about the bread sinking. My desserts or breads always look a little strange or even weird at times but, really always taste just fine. My family would be shocked if it looked pretty or even normal. Might even be leary of tasting it, through the years we are just use to it not being great looking. Video this week was so relaxing as usual. God Bless You and Family.🍁🍂🌻and Austin!
