FOR THE HUMMUS: Don't add olive oil and the whole bean water into the mixture, and i believe one clove of garlic is enough, you can even add more lemon and put ice cubes in it so it's more smooth. I made my mom watch the hummus making part just so i can give advice haha. Hope this helps! 💖

Lol, I worked at Trader Joe's and that is def not the case...however the reason Trader Joe's "cashiers" are more friendly, relaxed than other grocery stores is because TJ's has awesome systems in place...there are no cashiers EVERYONE in store works a few hours a day at the cashier so that you don't get burnt out and then you move to produce, dairy etc...very smart:)

FOR THE RASH: To me, it looks like a mild yeast infection. A lot of the time they are caused by natural deodorants that may contain baking soda. All you need to treat it is a fungus cream from a drug store, it should reduce any itchiness, redness, inflammation, and get rid of it in about a week. Love you Emma!

for the hummus, i think you just put it in the wrong order.. first blend the lemon juice and tahini until fluffy and it’s lightened in color. then add the garlic, (if you buy minced garlic in a jar it should stop the garlic breath but idk) and seasonings + oil. then add half the garbanzo beans, blend, and add the rest and blend again. then at the very end add the bean water to make it smoother. top with a drizzle of olive oil, more minced garlic if u want, cumin, and then if you wanna be fancy some zaatar you might not see this but if u do i hope it’s helpful !!

Hummus is like mashed potatoes, add ungodly amounts of salt just for starters. Second, lots lemon and make sure you add cumin one tbls full at a time. Add plain Greek yogurt for creaminess and yeah, one clove of garlic from a cute bulb ......] Bulb = cluster of piggyback cloves. Clove = little wedge of garlic picked from a bulb. If you like spicy, add a line of cayenne OR suracha on top of hummus .

Hey Emma! I've made hummus thousand of times (my family is Arab and my mom is a hummus pro.) The recipe you used was all over the place. Arabs don't add olive oil to the mixture ever. And we don't use the bean juice since it tastes artificial and salted. I have a video on my channel actually. 1 can of chickpeas (drained and microwaved for 30 seconds) warming up the chickpeas is crucial for the recipe. 1/2 cup of tahini 1 full lemon (squeezed) 1-2 teaspoons of salt 1-2 cloves of garlic (you did that part right) Top the mixture off with cumin and paprika and olive oil! Best of luck and I hope you tried my recipe!

Hey Emma, when myself and my Mom make hummus, we literally triple the amount of garlic. The cloves of garlic are those small sections, but you should always add more garlic than most recipes suggest. Many families who regularly make hummus and other Mediterranean meals have pickled/ prepared garlic sitting around. This garlic is typically roasted, fried, pickled, seasoned with oil, and generally sitting in oil. The hummus they make then uses that garlic, or chickpeas prepared the same way. Med staples, like feta, stuffed olives, fresh bread, fruit, blah blah blah, is great for someone who eats vegetarian or vegan. If you’re up for a big cuisine switch you could try to only eat like South Asian food, or African foods for a month at a time. Idk, “travel while home”...
