I really enjoy filming them I find cutting videos down very short difficult as I really want to share knowledge. Otherwise I feel like what’s the point. X
@@Nicola.Chapmanyou’re just a joy! Longtime follower, I’m around your age and especially loved when you talk about aging skin. The chin and overhead lighting was my favorite part. Having acne scars, you validated the heck out of me there.👏 It’s so true. We have to adapt to our changing skin and face structure.
You and Sam where some of the first people I ever watched on RU-vid and you taught me how to my makeup over the years by watching you both! It’s so nostalgic to have you back and it’s lovely! Thank you for coming back!! 💗
I love the longer format, the last few years most content is made for an attentionspan of a goldfish. (I say this as a woman in her late twenties with raging ADHD) Watching your videos is so calming and nostalgic. Most things i know about cosmetics i either learned from you or from Sam.
You are incredibly beautiful - with and without make up. I’d be interested in a pared-down, super-quick, minimal number of products, five-minute maximum, ‘capsule’ make-up for busy working mums who need to fly out the door in the mornings. Thanks Nicola - lovely to see you looking so well 🥰❤️ xx
I feel like youtube has tons of makeup tutorials for the young, but as a 40+ woman i need tips and tricks for my aging skin. I love watching your videos, please keep posting them !
I’m such a millennial. Thank you for the RU-vid videos! I watch them in my dressing room getting ready for work. Your skin looks incredible! I’m a fellow sparse-brow lady too! Yours are looking great ❤
Hey Nic! I always enjoy watching your vids. Since you asked for ideas, how about you do a smokey eye look for 40+? It's sometimes so hard to find that balance between a look that is flattering, and what ends up ageing and just "too much".
I absolutely adore long form videos!!! I deleted TikTok because I just don’t care for it!!! I will watch anything that you post because I just love how in depth you go into everything!!! I wish I had just a pinch of the brow hairs that you have! I’m 57 and all the years of over tweezing have destroyed them. In the 80’s and 90’s I went after them hard and drew them back on😂. Oh well, it was fun at the time!!!!
Since chemo unfortunately my hair, brows and lashes are so thin and spare, too! But I don‘ t dare to use any serum to make them grow better or thicker just because of hormons being probably in there…
Hey Nic I've been watching since you and Sam first started RU-vid and I would know nothing about makeup if it weren't for you guys! I'm 39 now, with four young children, and due to get married soon. I'm doing my own makeup to make things more affordable. Would LOVE if you could do an updated bridal look for our age group with tips on how to make sure it lasts all day etc. So glad you're back ❤
Make your videos as long as you want... I could watch you forever! So calming and I have learned so much. I am over everyone producing "shorts" since they are so fast I don't really learn anything. Also, I am so happy you are back and feeling healthy! We missed you!
I like the format. Comprehensively going through the process of marking oneself up. Different occasions. Different products. Different aesthetic. Love the explanation throughout as to why you do or don’t use a particular technique or product for the given effect. Practical useful advice I can actually incorporate myself! Not just a run through a million products with nothing commentary of "this product is amazing you guys totally recommend you pick up this product" which seems to be the norm now. Had not stopped to consider the difference until now and am totally glad for the long form content!
Those short videos just help the artist look like they know what they're doing. For the real feal you need a long, proper tutorial or video and your videos (and Sam's) are among the best!
Gray on light eyes always hits different! Will you do videos on how to make colored shadows wearable, innovative seasonal/holiday looks and your drugstore favorites?
I wanna see favs and hauls with your sister, Sam! I love all your videos but I used to get excited to see those you filmed together. Super glad you're back, Nic! We missed you.
Loving the long form content! I would love a back to basics series and make up for (I hate this term but can't think of anything better!) 'aging' skin. I feel like a lot of tutorials I find when I am looking are teens/girls in their early 20's and whilst they look amazing on them, as my skin is aging it doesn't look the same on me! (Things like make up making my finelines look more prominent for example) I would also like some tutorials using a mix of high-end and more affordable items. I have loved the channel since the pixiwoo days and really enjoy and trust your recommendations!
I am so glad it are posting back on RU-vid! I have grown up learning how to do make up on your videos hand down my favourite! I am going to the Caribbean soon so would love to know you holiday recommendations and make up looks x
I love your videos. I love the education, the tips, explanations, and the information. You’re so lovely to listen to and you’re so beautiful but at the same time utterly accessible. I’d be happy to have even longer videos. Teaching. How tos and the theory behind color, light and shadow, blending, prepping skin, placement for different effects as well as different face shapes and certainly tips for those of us in our (ehem) late 40s + on how to adapt our routines for our changing skin and structure. But frankly, I also like to just hear you talk and chat about your health and your husband and your career and just your day! Wish you the best. ❤
Hey, so lovely to see you again! And I have to say - your skin looks absolutely gorgeous 😍 As I'm dealing with autoimmune diseases too, I'd really like to hear more on that subject...other than that I've always loved your longer videos, so please keep them coming. And since we're all aging, and I'm 40+ now, it would be brilliant if you could provide some recommendations on how to apply products and which to use.. eyeliner in particular.. I miss it so much.. sigh.. Anyway, thank you so much for your work and being you! Herzliche Grüße aus Berlin 💕
I would love to see creative looks or even Halloween looks. In the past I've done your Frankenstein make up and Sam's Miss Argentina from Beetlejuice and they were so so so good!
Longer format✅ Creating optical illusions around aging etc.✅ Can't wait to see what you did with your hair! It looks FANTASTIC as is!!! So glad you're back on YT regularly!💗
Welcome back..good to see you. Please stay with the makeup videos both affordable and high end. Include brush, face, lips and hair care they never get boring . To many lifestyle videos are on RU-vid
I love your tutorials or grwm…any of it!! In fact, anytime one of your videos pop up I get super excited!! FYI - your bone structure is beautiful - no amount of maturing into the next decade will take that away! ❤❤❤
So appreciative of your tutorials; informative, unpretentious, fun. I also agree w/ calming. Love the more natural, day-to-day! Maybe a step further and a minimalist, no makeup make up look? Many thanks, looking forward to your next tutorial already!!
Beautiful look. Bring back these kind of long chatty educational videos. Would love to see an am and pm skincare routine, an empties & maybe a luxury bathing haul
Red light as made a big difference in my brows, eyelashes and hair at the hairline. I really want to try the Refy. I’ve been using Gen See eyebrow gel. It’s a drier formula and makes a difference with fine hairs on my brows.
Actually, one thing I'd love to see is different eye liner techniques; I'm 57 and have very hooded eyes, helped slightly by some well placed botox to lift ever so slightly. Yesterday, I decided not to try and fight this natural shape and followed the line of my eye, which did give my eye a more downturned look. Oddly, I quite liked it. I was inspired by the way I'd seen Violette Serrat apply her eyeliner; not at all comparing my face to hers, she's a good couple of decades younger and has a completely different eye shape to my own. It just made me think about whether we do, in fact, always have to fight against our natural features. Soz for the long comment 😅, just really interested in your thoughts? Xx
Gorgeous 🤩 I like long videos. Keep them coming ❤ I miss the Pixiewoo days. I'm so happy you're doing well and a survivor now. Love your hair. Love the look. For everyday it's pretty glam but I love it, I wish I was as good as you at makeup
You are way too self-critical. Even before any makeup goes on, you're gorgeous! Your complection alone is enviable. You take good care of yourself, and it shows.
Hi Nic! Thank you for the years of service teaching us how to do our makeup! I would love a video focusing on stopping eyes from watering in the corners when wearing makeup and stopping mascara transferring on hooded eyes. I’ve tried everything! The best I’ve found is Extended Play by Mac but it still moves around on me! 😩
Learned so much from you. Please keep making this kind of videos as well the party looks. And maybe once in a while about what to eat or drink for great skin.
Terrific video! I would love to see what you decided to do with your hair. Hair is such an important part of a beauty regime because it frames the face. So many times I don't get that great cut that flatters me. Would love to know your thoughts and tips!
The best tutorials as usual ❤ we wanna see a morning makeup for a 40 girl with eyeglasses. I need that cuz now I can see a shadow from the reflection of the glasses which makes my eyes droopy no matter what I do to fix it😅
Hi Nic love this form of makeup tuition it is far more detailed. Have been following you and Sam from the early days and love your authenticity. Would love you to do some Natasha Denona makeup looks like going to the Races if possible. Thanks lovely to have you back looking healthy and beautiful.
This is such a BEAUTIFUL makeup look. I dread going to the hairdressers because I look like everyone's great great grandmother in there. My face doesn't look like my own in their mirrors. Really enjoyed this video. Picked up some good tips ❤
I’m new to this channel and I am loving it ❤Have you done makeup for mature skin , I am always on the hunt for products that look good on my 40 ish face .
Hello from Texas 😂 in my humble opinion I will never tire of watching you make your face up. Love seeing the products you naturally gravitate towards as well as your technique lol. With that said, if you feel as though you’re lacking inspiration… I always love to see recreations of or inspired by so and so 😉 Thanks again for the vid!
I love the longer chatty videos. I usually watch them during my lunch breaks when I work from home. I would really love a video using mostly Vieve products. I heard about this brand in your videos but I would to see an everyday look using Vieve products (especially the eyeshadow sticks). 🙂
Hi Nicola, I really enjoy your videos and as a lady of similar age I like seeing how you apply natural looking makeup. I'm finding less is more in natural daylight these days, as too much heavy makeup ages me more. More tips on natural, nourishing make up for upcoming wrinklies please 😊
I much prefer the longer format and the talking and education. Watching you is like watching an artist at work… so relaxing. I’d also love to see you doing some other people’s make up… different faces for more education!
Nic x why don't you do some back to basics tutorials?.. Like how to choose the right foundation. Which brushes are best for which job. How to blend eyeshadow properly etc. I dunno , I just feel like it's a given now that we all know this stuff. I for one still don't know enough . X
Nicola. It's so funny you say that about going to the hairdressers and staring in the mirror, because we all feel like that....well I do! I wouldn't dare go without makeup on . 😊
Very nice. I loved the placement of the concealer to widen the side of your upper face. I will try this as this area has hollowed out on me. Thank you. Ps are you a relative of Sam Chapman - you look similar?
Loved this, great advice and love the detailed tutorial. Would love to know how to cover redness. I’m 54 and noticing lots of redness like a mask across my cheeks and across my nose, look like Rudolph and I’m loosing confidence, can’t seem to get the right base/ products. Please help 😊
Loved this video! More of this long form natural beauty content maybe include how you manage autoimmune issues in beauty and wellness for those of us in our 40’s who still have an attention span 😂❤❤
You're beautiful inside and out, Nic. That's why we've stuck with you all these years. You have such a lovely personality. I really enjoy the long videos. They're my little calming, distraction breaks that just make whatever I'm doing better. Thank you for being you.
You and Sam were one of the first channels I subscribed to back in the day. I enjoy your videos because the way you speak is calming. Skin care videos would interest me. Could you show us your red light therapy you use and talk about how often and how long you use it? Do you have any opinions or experience on blue light? I'm interested in blue light for depression therapy, but I wonder if it can cause aging. I'm glad you're making videos on RU-vid again.
Nic. You ask your followers on this channel to tell you what kind of content we want to see more of? Well, here is my request? At some point hopefully before Christmas I will be marrying the love of my life in Australia after meeting his parents for the first time. My request to you is this: Can you do a full wedding/bridal look taking into account that I am now into my 60's and will be marrying in a part of Australia where it can be very hot and humid in the coming months? Can you come up with any makeup suggestions with an unlimited budget to buy anything that I might need please? I have been a Pixiwoo follower here on RU-vid for nigh on 15 years now and even though Pixiwoo is no more i still refer back to your older tutorials for reference while at the same time following you and Sam here on your own channels on RU-vid.
so the customer is their own mixologist , sheer it out use in its own mix with other products and so on , love the chanel bronzer but think it would be too warm on my fair skin x
