Rachel was basically the type of person that was talented and knew she was talented. She was very self-centered and even when she was doing things for other people, it was usually still self-serving. Santana was a majority of them because Santana basically dragged everyone (except her gf Brittany), but especially Rachel because to be fair, Rachel was an easy target.
Im disagree about what you say about Rachel. Sur she know she is talented but exept that she is really insecure bc of the bullying she had. And even too its true that she is sort of self centred, she actually do a lot of thing Who didnt benefiate herself and i found her really compassionate and forgiving
@@laurine____7543 there are very few things Rachel does for other people that don't benefit her. Yes she's been bullied but she herself is a bully, just in a less obvious way. She constantly gaslights people and convinces people that they're not as good as her. No one on the show is innocent (except maybe Mike chang lol). They're all horrible people in their own way.
@@laurine____7543 I agree Rachel never gets credit for the good things she does. Rachel was so forgiving almost to a fault. I always found it sad that glee club was supposed to be a place to be accepted you for who you were unless you were Rachel.
@@laurine____7543 Rachel was so forgiving. For a club that was supposed to be accepting of everyone for who they were they sure did judge Rachel a lot.
haha, this compilation makes me realize how awful it seems if you just see everyone (especially Santana) dragging Rachel without fully seeing how arrogant and spotlight-hogging Rachel often was! Well, in fairness in the beginning Quinn, Santana, and Brittany WERE just genuinely really bad bullies to her even before they knew her well. But as the show went on the dragging was really quite deserved most of the time lol. On another note, man I miss Naya so much :( Her comedic timing was freaking perfection
Rachel the most understood character on glee. She knew she was only tolerated for her talent, so she protected her spotlight/talent, which made others mad. A weird catch 22.
@@sheerri She wasn't awful she was socially awkward and did not know how to relate. She knew people only liked her for her talent so she tried to hold on to that one thing. She wasn't even the most awful in the glee club.
@@stephaniemorgan9128 Hum they accepted others who were worse and bullies and insulting. In glee, you were supposed to be accepted for who you are except if you were Rachel.
Nobody deserves to be bullied. As talented as she was, Rachel was the favorite target of bullies mainly because of her physical appearance and her clothes. Glee club was the only environment where her talent was really taken into account, and without it, she felt like she was nothing. Her selfish and narcissistic behavior was obviously wrong, but at the same time I understand it as if she were repeating with others what she herself suffered during her life. It's not justifiable, as I said, no one deserves to be bullied, but many fans tend to judge her while applauding the problematic behavior of others, especially Santana, who among everyone there, was the most bully.
4:05 I think this was after Rachel made a film about Puck, Finn, and Jesse making it look like they were fighting over her, and she basically played and manipulated the three of them. Another showcase of Rachel being selfish. Hence Jesse leading the egging.
react to 'glee performances ▶︎ my favorite reactions'!! its a compilation someone put together of characters reacting to some of the weirder/funnier songs in the series! great video 😊
Rachel suffered a lot of bullying, she was very insecure and felt she had to prove herself, the only thing she felt she was good is as an artist, so because she is insecure she was always clinging to her musical talent, always wanting to be the best, centering the glee club in her, wanting to be highlighted to feel useful and enough in something to feel that people needed her, so this self-centered, ambitious and perfectionist personality bothered other students too much, she did everything about her and demanded excellence from others too, she really wanted to win, because for her this would be her career and not just a high school thing. That's why people thinks she's extremely annoying, Rachel is a complex character, very talented, but not good with relationships, she's always afraid that somebody will be better than her in this only thing she thinks she's good, so she doesn't recognize people's talents and this makes everybody at glee club mad, because they are good too, but they dont understand that what she do with them in this one and specific thing that glee club is, it's what they all do with her in all the other things in her life, they are always talking about her physical appearance for example, so I not a glee fan who hates Rachel, she has her good moments and her worst is understandable, all the characters at this show has they bad moments
@@sophiaharris2010 so did every character in glee, that's just the shitty writing. Rachel progresses through s1 (then jumps back for season 2 because, again, bad writing) but by s6 she's progressed again. She certainly has more development than most characters in the show (like Santana, who starts as a bitch, and ends as a bitch who has a wife)
@@darkvoid9329 Rachel is handed everything even though she was a shitty friend and didn't deserve anything. At least Santana never played victim and acted like she didn't know what she was doing🤡
@@jiminseyesmile5055 There are people in the show other than Rachel who acted like a bitch and then played the victim yet they are still loved and not hated like Rachel. What you said has nothing to do with what that person commented.. everything they said was true, what you said is irrelevant to what they said
Rachel was simply bullied by Santana as well as by others, many say she deserves it but exactly what problems do you have? Before you come to tell me that I have not seen the series, instead I have seen it all, and I have always been on Rachel's side, when they said those things unmotivatedly to Rachel I almost cried from the cruelty of certain things, if you say that she deserved them ... You are simply wrong.
I understand what you mean but she always had put people down by saying she's better and always cares about herself. She sent a girl to a crack house because she sung better, tries to take away solos because she's jealous and then doesn't expect any backlash from any of it. She is a horrible person and if she stopped thinking about herself for one second then she wouldn't be bullied.
