I love when stores and businesses hire cats as employees! There's a tortoise shell cat that works at an optometrist named Truffles, she helps kids feel better about wearing glasses. There's a cat named Browser that works at a Library, and the councilman that tried to have Browser removed from the Library ended up getting voted out of his position... That's just awesome.

I don't understand why councilmembers don't want cats in governmental offices. They do an excellent job of relieving stress to staff after they have to deal with customers. I'll bet he had a lame excuse to remove the cat from the library.

@@arnoldhenry Cats are excellent emotional support animals. They are also useful in keeping rodents out of businesses. Browser was loved by the kids that went to the Library he was employed at. There were photos of him laying inside a circle of children at story time. I'm so glad that Browser got to keep his job as the Library mouser and emotional support cat, and the councilman got voted out because everyone loves that cat!

I had a bookshop in Ohio wherein shelter cats were fostered and then adopted by customers. More than 50 were adopted from my shop over the years. I then wrote a series of novels about the experience (Shelve Under C is the first) to encourage other shops to look into fostering dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. The business that took over my location continued to foster, thankfully.

I love how antagonistic Lauren is towards Daniel like he's an actual human, but this whole set up is, indeed, a mockumentary 😆 Still would be interesting to know his origin story and how he came to be here, because just about any shop can have that one cat or dog that hangs out at said shop (I know of one my mom goes to when getting cat and bunny food, but customers are not allowed to pet him). Also: chonky cat is CHONKY 😂
