The I-35 Corridor is a hot mess, along with the weather. Hope you enjoy sitting in traffic, in heat over 100 degrees and rude out of state people. Signed a Native Texan.
Hope you checked the outlying areas to Austin. Lago Vista being one of them. Located by Lake Travis in the start of the Hill Country it is only about thirty minutes from Austin and is scenic and is beautiful with unbelievable vistas.
Very informative. But I tend to agree with you about living in the suburbs rather than in the city. It has some beautiful scenery but with the fast growth it means a lot more traffic and crowded streets. love the video.
Austin is a great city, but it has its issues as people have pointed out. For me the worst thing is the summer heat. Make sure you check that out before you move here.
What a fun video! Austin does look like a super cool place but we too can’t see ourselves living IN a city. I’m jealous of Mr Sweetface…I’d love to have an on call personal masseuse 😂👍 your format and all the researched info is great!!
Hi Mela and Don. I enjoyed seeing Austin. So many good things about it but I think it would be to hectic for me to live in. As I am looking for somewhere alot more peaceful but still close to shops.
I was born and raised in Texas Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas lived in Austin San Antonio. Find out what the weather is like before you give it all the praise. Have a good day.
Great video guys absolutely brilliant. I have been transporting cars for the celebrities and well to do people from California especially LA to Austin for many years now. I knew it was up and coming. It's just going to get better and better. Even though the demographic says it's going to grow exponentially, it's going to grow with youth and vitality. So Austin is a great choice for anybody that's starting a family, anybody who has a young family and in the business of tech, pursue your dreams it's all I can say live in your happiness and you'll live your life abundantly. Cheers guys :-)
Its always been the place to be.yall are just now seeing this.lived here all my life.and seen a few other cities.we are not the same.lol.i go to other cities and they are nice.but i always cant wait to get home.
I’m afraid Austin is just too liberal for me. I moved from Phoenix after living there for forty years because it is getting too crowded, traffic and the summer heat. (After 40 years of summer heat I figured it was time to cool down.) I have family in the Dallas area but metropolitan areas are just not for me, I thought. Bought a motorhome in Oregon, traveled back to my home in the Phoenix area, retired and headed East. Spent a couple of months in Florida during the start of the pandemic, a few weeks in DC then north to Buffalo, NY only to find that we couldn’t visit Niagara Falls due to the pandemic. So we headed West across the northern states and eventually to the Seattle area where my wife’s family mostly live. Been here since July of 2020. The traffic is really bad, all day long it seems. Don’t like the gray skies here and would love to move to the south for the winters and maybe here for the summers. Unfortunately my wife does not like traveling so I’m feeling chained down here. But hey, enjoy the blessings that come your way.
Wow you have really tried all kinds of different areas and climates! We loved the Olympic Peninsula. It was great in Summer, but we too would had the grey skies in winter!
The CITY of Austin is a great place and pretty unique in itself. It is starting to serve as an example of what progressive democrats can do to Texas cities and urban areas. Texas itself, booming with billions of excess tax funding over the last few years, but Austin actually in a bit of a budget crisis, voting for programs like rail systems that are triple their estimates, and social programs that are requiring much higher taxes. All at the same time, you see the most homelessness, crime, and other factors that come along with those dependents on the programs in Austin. Love visiting, working in the city some days, but love even more living in a more rural Texas area an hour or so away. Not to over simplify, Texas has boomed and is/was more affordable with a good qualify of life due to its more conservative nature, protections, and limited social programs, and previous fiscal responsibility. Hate to see the state get ruined from what most of us grew up with 😞
Just one suggestion......stay there and experience all the seasons, just not the best one. As my wife says sometimes...."False Advertising". It's kind of like visiting the Southwest in the Winter.....yeah, but stick around for the Summer!!! And the weather aspect is just one topic. Choose wisely. Being nomads is your best asset. Oh, and thanks for always featuring your beautiful kitties. Well, my choice would be Incline Village, Nevada at Lake Tahoe, but it is mucho expensive!!! ......Russell D.
Now, Now, ya'll Move along. I live in Austin. Austin sucks. -- That's my official message to you and your viewers. But really, kids, great video. I Do avoid I-35 and enjoy the zaniness and food.
Texas has quality of life and prosperity because of Conservatism. Once it becomes Liberal , it will become California , and people will have to leave Texas too.
When will you folks get off this political crap. Businesses run this capitalist nation. Period. Your “conservative” leaders were the ones telling folks to come over during the pandemic. Both Florida and Texas did this. Big business heard and came. Take it up with your “conservative” leaders and ask why did they invite the businesses that’s been destroying other larger cities for years in. Oh wait, you won’t because during the pandemic it was a big flex to say “we are open for business” 😂
