$2,999 (not including taxes). No thanks. I'll never spend that much on a headphone. My daily drivers are Sennheiser HD 560S. I've found that the more you spend, the sound doesn't improve exponentially the same. $3000 headphones aren't 1400% better than $200 headphones. Ever.
So far the comments here are mad because of the price. I work for an Audio/Video company. We sell some crazy high end stuff. I own their "near bottom of the line" audiophile SVS 5.1 system. I have installed top of the line systems that cost more than your new vehicle. They sound amazing. Yet I come home to my "near bottom of the line" audiophile system, and am satisfied. I am not worrying myself to sleep about not having the best sound system out there. I can crank my system, and I think its great! I might one day buy a better system than what I have, but I will never own the top of the line system, because the price is insane for the diminishing returns you get. It all depends on the individual. What kind of money do you have? What do you spend most of your time doing? Have you spoiled yourself with some already awesome headphones and need to go higher quality for your next pair? Don't get angry because of a high price tag. If you are happy with what you have, seriously, don't worry about it. I have VZR Model Ones and I think they sound amazing. They were $350. I have no need to upgrade at the moment, but when I get older, I might get something like these. Only time will tell!
Love your passion dude 🙌🏼 and I go along the journey with you when you are describing every😂 . For £3000 I'm expecting it to go and make me a cup of coffee in between games 🤣
great review techne! this video may not do well because your normal fan base is not into the audio hobby, but im glad you're still doing what you want to do! Im excited for the canjam in dallas later this year so i can listen to these! These are on my radar for my future collection, very beautiful headphones.
Some of the most braindead comments I have read in a long time in this comment section. That aside Great review btw. Love content like this, I am glad you bought something that you love and enjoy.
Ever since dankpods showed these, I have always wanted one. But the price is definitely out of my budget. Maybe one day in the future when i have enough savings....
Hi techne i love audio but i dont think i could spend that much just to use these on my ps5 because i dont listen to music all that much just the music i would get on the game i would be playing but i did order the meze 109 pro headphones for my ps5 how would they be or do you think i should of went for the sennheiser 660s2 what's your opinion and which one would you choose thank you stay safe and happy gaming
People all up in arms over the price and acting like audio experts don't realize that when you have the means to buy things like this without even thinking about the cost, you are buying for things other than overall sound. The build quality and materials used are why most buy something like this. The higher up the audio stack you go, sound quality doesn't improve massively, what you get is noticeable changes in clarity in certain freq ranges, detail, separation and sound stage and comfort. HPs in this price range are meant for sitting many many hours digesting the music. That said, Focal's soon to be released to the public Azurys seem to take a dump on these Meze's for just over 1/4 the cost.
