Beretta unveiled the redesigned 30X Tomcat at Shot Show Media Day 2024!
True spoke to Nick, Beretta's pistol product manager. Together they explore this updated version of the classic Tomcat.
The 30X features increased magazine capacity, ergonomic design changes, and improved functionality.

By Beretta redesigning the 3032 Tomcat to the 30x I was able to get the 3032 for only $250. Huge win!!!! Just ordered the suppressor for it. Fun little range toy.

same! and you can even send it to LTT to get it fully custom'd out so that it pretty much has the same features as a 30X tomcat for only $225 more, so basically a gun on-par with a 30X tomcat for only $475 total, as opposed to the $600 it would cost to actually get a 30X!

Right!!! Finally something working on my favor. LOL. taking the win‼️ I shot it a few weeks ago with a Q Erector 9 attached. OMG so fun. No usable sights. But that could be solved with the LTT red dot slide job. 50/50 on if I’ll spend the $ on LTT work. Maybe down the road at some point. Until then, my tomcat sits in a living room end table easy to access.

I am not a caliber snob. I feel small calibers should be in small guns. Also ALL defensive calibers have a bodycount.

Did Baretta resolve the frame cracking issue that I read so much about in the previous Tomcat model?

They are saying it now has a reinforced frane with 2X the durability. Only reason I didn't buy one before was the ammo constraints.

Obviously Is improved.. the problem was with the old frame that was too slim and engeneered for the 90s powders cartridges. Now the ammo are much more technological and powerfull and so the gun got improved for today standards.. the new Tomcat was already fixed, now with the 30X obviously is even better.

My question is, do the new magazines have ANY sort of compatibility with the older model Tomcats? Or do those of us who own them need to stock up on the old magazines before they disappear from the market?

YES this is my question too! It's kind of annoying that NONE of the videos on the 30x Tomcat right now mention that at all. However, from what I can see, it *does* look like they put a backwards-compatible magazine catch on the new 30X magazines, but I'd really prefer an official statement on that.

The new magazine will not function in the older model 3032 the magazine Notch is not cut out in the same position

@@gemboy4307ful What do you mean? Can you explain what that hole on 30X tomcat magazines that is shaped and positioned exactly the same as a 3032 tomcat magazine catch hole is, then? Look at the magazine Mr. Pearce is holding at 0:27 . That hole that his pointer finger is next to is NOT a witness hole and looks exactly like it's supposed to be a 3032 tomcat magazine catch. Presumably, you assumed just because they moved the magazine catch that the 30X tomcat uses to a new position, that they did not keep the old one, but it seems that that may not be the case.

All things relative, there's no complaint about the caliber. This is not, and was never meant to be a main carry piece. And the only reason to suppress this little piece is doing wet work

Beretta is making fools of themselves, as I have seen in at least two out of the two videos that I have seen them talking about this, by saying “it’s the only gun that you do not have to rack the slide to load.” I guess they forgot about the Girsan MC14T and the Taurus PT22 “clones” of the Bobcat. Don’t get me wrong, I love all my Berettas and my Tomcat, but for them to push the line that they are “the only one” with the tip-up barrel is beyond silly. ANY gun enthusiast who follows Beretta and the tip-up barrel design knows that to be false. So I believe that Beretta is telling their reps to say this despite the fact that they know better.

I know its for good effect but next time go over things not in the middle of gun range thats active. Its damn annoying to tey to listen and all that shit going on.
