After I watched you do your bear I went to the shop and did a small one with my power carvers mine is 6 inches tall but it looks ok thank you for your time be safe
Another great job Tay! I can already see that Belmonts parents are so very proud of him! Congrats on your fur baby Mr. and Mrs. Smith! Tay has entrusted you in taking very good care of him😀. And, I’m very jealous. 😀. Hi to Nami! Thumbs up everyone! 👍👍👍👍
I find it amazing the vision and talent required to transform a stump into a piece of art. I heard you mention during your baseboard refinish vid that you have property in Maine. We vacation mid-coast every year. Would I ever see any of your pieces in the Damariscotta / Rockland / Camden area? Kudos!
I’m just up in between Waterville/Bangor, we visit Belfast here and there for some ocean time! I don’t have a shop yet but I hope to do some fairs next year, can’t seem to get into any this year as vendor slots closed in December for most of the larger fairs!
You do some awesome carving. You definitely have the natural anatomy shape of the bear down pat. I like watching your videos and Ryan Cooks videos. You both do some of the best carving on RU-vid. I noticed on your sign you use a die grinder and a sander to do the lettering. Have you even thought about using a router? I make router wood signs, and I'm just starting to get into the chainsaw carving.
Thank you so much for this comment! I don’t think I can be compared to Ryan just yet though, maybe in a few years, that man is a master carver! I would definitely love to use a router! It’s on the list of many many things I need to eventually buy 😂 I’m starting this little business from the ground up, I didn’t even own a chainsaw before I started carving so I have spent quite a bit of money over the last year getting things I need slowly! I’m not even a year into this 😂 But router signs are so beautiful and will definitely be something I do someday!
Excellent bear, great carving again Tay! cant lie ive only done one bear myself, and it didn't turn out very well 😂, so been put off a bit... should have another go really
Bears are tough, my first bear was horrid! I’m still embarrassed when I see pics of it 😂 Don’t let that stop you, if anything that should be all the more reason to try another!
@@TayMarie23 Ive got the book by Jamie Doernen which i tried to follow, but my bear ended up looking anorexic..haha. Very true, i will try again, just in Cartoon character carving mood at the moment :)
Im always seeing more tricks You've learned with every video. I am Definately reposting this to Fb!...So hey i started carving a bear like u did in your "nothing ever goes"-video. Do u mind if I tag u in the vid- when i post it? 🙂
I’m so happy you are learning from watching me, it’s so hard to verbally explain how to do carving things, so sometimes it best to just learn from watching! That’s why I try to include as much of the carving process as I can in under 12 minutes 😊 and of course, you can definitely tag me!
