"Brahmacharya does not mean just celibacy. That is just one of the aspects that has been taken up as a supportive system to become a Brahmacharya. Brahmacharya means you are walking the path of the Divine, that you are ecstatic by your own nature. You can be married and still become a Brahmacharya. It is possible because you are joyful by your own nature. You are not trying to extract Joy from your husband or wife. If two people come together, it should be a sharing of joy, not extracting of joy from the other person." - Sadhguru

Swami Vivekananda also said that from Brahmcharya the happiness will come in world.

I remember back in 2014 I broke up from a very toxic relationship. Back then I was 25 years old and as introvert I always enjoyed my own company and freedom. So one week after I freed my self from this relationship my ex asked me to send a video of what I'm doing so I filmed my self very happy and joyfull on my bicycle. Then I got a massage how I can be that happy and free. So this video and speech is reminding me that I always had that joy in me, on the other hand the person I was with always was very negative and miserable. She was cheating, consuming alcohol, always out with friends and travelling but at same time always miserable. She always needed an external trigger for her happiness. So this video pointed out something out of my memorie as a quality I always had. This video brought up another prospective on a very old situation..Thank you.

I can very much relate to it.. I was in 5th class.. I had got first success of my life I had got clear exam of sainik school it was happiness inside me.. I was not able to sleep for almost whole night that day and I was sleeping very less till one month or two.. And was not even concentrating on food... Their was some happiness inside me that I am still searching.. But after interview I got broke down into tears bcz it had not gone good... One thing which remain with me was the happiness I had felt those days ... And from there today I am failed person... But now I am feeling something great will again. After so many years just bcz of brahmcharya but that happiness is still in search.....

I suppose the way I can understand this is that it is because you are joyful in your own nature that you can SUCCEED in your relationships; that it no longer becomes a compulsive action but just a natural process of life. Extracting joy from others is compulsive; sharing each other's joy is natural. You are not bound to each other's feelings; but that you are COMPLETE on your very own. Please take note this applies to both Straight and LGBT relationships or for any relationship for that matter. As for the personality moulding I apologise for the brainwashing notion. In my deep personal experience moulding one's personality carries a deadly trap as this can place an individual under someone else's control if done by the wrong hands. As I thought this is not what Kyabje intended at all; he is simply pointing out that we must be OPEN to the possibilities of life and not to be encased in our own thoughts, philosophies, opinions and belief systems. Kyabje's right. Brahmacharya is never an easy path but it is a wonderful path nonetheless because it is the Ultimate Path. And what is Ultimate is long-lasting. Does that mean we should stop being in a relationship, let alone looking for one and instead strive to be joyful by our own nature? Of course not! The moment we learn to be joyful by our own nature, naturally we will want to share that joy with others because that is a natural reflex as a social human being. The biggest difference here is that if the, "Object of your Affection" rejects you or refuses to reciprocate your love then you will no longer be angry or devastated but rather still be happy for that person and maintain that completeness within yourself. But who am I? Am I the body or the mind ? When we speak about Brahman, we need to understand that we are a spirit souls. So our true internal happiness starts when we realise who we are and what is our conection with The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Shri Krishna, The Absolute Truth.

One can feel joy like from seeing a friend but still be delusional. So bliss is maybe the better word for ultimate happiness, joy can leave you like laughing about a joke for a minute but then still be down afterwards. Not being in control of sexual energy is the biggest problem on this earth.
