I'm pretty sure they did recognize it, but they were less concerned about what he was saying and more concerned about his mental state. Iris tried talking to him about his mom when he first mentioned Nora, but clearly what they were saying wasn't going through.

Everytime I see that scene, it just brings me such joy. The love in Joe's eyes when he is doing it is just so pure. Also Grant did a great job. The look in his eyes gave me the impression of dissociation.

It’s sad to see that most of what Barry says while in this state is when he’s in some sort of eventful or stressful time in his life, being with loved ones like iris is a part of what he says or with Joe, very sad, Barry going to jail, dealing with Nora in the first few episodes, dealing with his moms death, first getting his powers. It’s very emotional what he says if you really pay attention. Not only does this relate back to his past it goes to the future as well, “nora shouldn’t be here” “we’re gonna need more diapers” it’s silly but that could be relating to when Nora’s a baby or maybe even Bart.

I love that son and father scene when he was shaving his face. That was one my favorite scenes of that whole season 4. The chemistry between Barry and Joe is just so loving and that dynamic of how he just touched his face seeing the younger Barry. I think all fathers can relate to that scene.

My theory: when Barry came out of the speedforce, into the real world, he saw all his memories from when he was a kid, and adult, and he said everything he remembered.

Well, I'd like to say that since Nora's journal was coded in the same language that Barry was writing at the start of season four they are definitely connected. Barry may have written down how to make an artificial Speedforce back then, and them using Nora's journal as a decoder may help them solve the issue with the Speedforce generator... This may also be how Thawne knew how to do the same in the future, by looking to the past success.

She does, well at least thats what they said in season 6. The nora that went back in time to meet Barry in season 5 is gone, because the timeline changed. Cicadas dagger was destroyed, crisis came early. But in the show they say they'll meet nora again someday. When she is born. He also saw baby nora when bloodwork was in his mind.

After all they said they'll see her again under the assumption that the timeline doesn't change as much as it can and she is still born

@@IndraTyde The nora that is gone is the one that went back in time to meet barry, but since crisis came early and the dagger was destroyed, nora in the future never goes back to meet barry. That nora got erased from existence. And yes it is likely the tornado twins will be born instead of nora but you can't say nora will never be born.

i have a theory i think when he was in there he saw his whole life over and over again. so he just was saying things he saw and heard In the end I ended up predicting most of what happens in season four and five. @@maddieroseidkscreee2067 they tried to force him into the show to have a better story line but then they messed it up honestly because they made them compete with each other and tried to make him similar to the speed Barry could feat then sort of made him faster, fast enough to save iris from savita when Barry "couldnt" even though barry is supposed to be the fastest man alive

@@jmxter7496 they simply wrote garbage storylines for Keiynan, who was a fantastic Wally! They didn’t force him into the storylines at all; they either didn’t write him in at all or when they did, they gave him a crappy story. Everyone refusing to train him was infuriating, Cisco never upgraded his suit but upgraded Barry’s (seems like you should just do both), they had him almost always mess up and everyone would get mad at him, they literally had an episode where they forgot all about him during a crisis and he called them out on it. And then when he said he was leaving because of it, they were all like, “ok, cool. you do you”. He’s a great character played by a great actor, both of whom deserved better.

The lines about his dad and family are to Joe. The Oliver line is to everyone I guess as they're just as important to him as Olive

My theory on “were gonna need more diapers”: the timeline changed when Nora died, iris gets pregnant and they both expect Nora. It turns out it’s a twin (idk I’ve heard people say flash has twins or something) and then he says were gonna need more diapers edit; I just saw it came in the video... now I sound dumb
